Atheist entertainer, Penn Jillette, tells about his encounter with, and respect for, a Christian man who gave him a Bible. Very interesting perspective.

That IS interesting. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding. I've always believed that effectively sharing the Christian faith is necessarily a one on one endeavor.

Penn's comment about not respecting people who do not proselytize is especially "telling" (sorry, could not resist). His comment regarding getting hit by a truck is good and then he says, "this is way more important than that."
Go GIDEONS!!!

This is one of the best things I have seen in a long time! Let us pray that Penn will receive the truth in his heart and understand it with his mind so that he will then give his life to Christ.

How does one "know there is no God"?
-
They have convinced themselves in their own heart that there is no God.
Psa 14:1; 53:1
That is why April 1 is National Atheist Day (or Nontheist Day as most now prefer that term). -

I could not help but believe that we were witness to the eggshell beginning to crack on the birth of a new christian, regardless of his "there is no god". That can all be quashed within a single millisecond.

This shows that demonstrating love, rather than derision and disdain, is the way to touch people.
