The reporter makes it clear that it was the driver's "claim" and not a verified story.
Let's see what the response is from the INS and the police that took him to the INS (
if that is what actually happened) before drawing conclusions.
I have no doubt that there is more to the story. -
What does driving while brown mean?

How much identification do you want a person to carry. Isn't a commercial drivers license and a social security number enough?
Have you ever heard of this being done before?
Do you think he would even have been asked for identification if he were white?

MP, you should be thankful for the new immigration law. It would have stopped this incident from happening. If you would read the bill, you would see it says:
New law for the win! -
As I pointed out the reporter's story was simply that this guy "claimed".
There was no verification of the events as reported. -

How many links would you like?
-
How about if you go through them first and then pick the one out that talks about verification of the "claim".
I'm not accepting your homework assignsments at this time. -
Every single one of those links has the same source. Try dealing with the primary souce Crabby...the primary source in this instance is the original news broadcast (it's the closest we can get). The original news broadcast says that it was a claim and not verfied.

He has a nasty little habit of googling a subject and then throwing out the search results as a homework assignment.
I won't do Crabby's homework assignments any more.
He has to learn to read his sources first and then post them.
Although it is funny when his source actually says the opposite of what he hopes it does. -
I'm sure targus and wade will admit the error of this detention once all the facts are in, right?
It seems strange that ICE had no response except to "look into the incident." -
(btw, I thought you wanted to make peace or something...why do you continue to act like this then? I've laid off you, yet you can't do the same?) -

Does that make it official enough?

Now let's look at this.
If they were ICE agents then it is not the product of the Arizona bill.
Now what you need to do is find the answers to your own question.
How many times in the last year did ICE agents ask a person to produce a birth certificate at this truch weighing station?
Get back to me when you find your answer. :)
