I think its a travesty. She knew killing those babies was wrong.

It's a good example of why man's justice is not GOD's justice. He knows her on the inside and knows the truth.

Good to see some common sense in Texas justice. At least she will get the mental health care she so desparately needs.

Cheers,

Jim

Hopefully. Mental healthcare is really not very good in the US. I don't know about the rest of the world, but here it is a hit-or-miss process.

I could have saved them alot of money.

1 good sturdy pole, some good rope, some big pieces of wood, can of gas, and we'd been rid of her. Hey. it worked in the middle ages. Bible says suffer a WITCH not to live. so....

(I'm so bad..)

Just ask Terri Schiavo.

This woman should be drowned by a really large person.

Was she insane, yes, no truly sane person could do that.
Is she still guilty, YES!
I figure it does not matter a persons mental state, if they did the crime they are guilty.
Now it is true they may not be fit for jail, but a mental hospital might be even worse. At least it is still punushment.
I do doubt, and hope, that she never sees freedom again.

Texas law is very clear on this. If a person, however mentally deranged, knows that it's wrong, that person is guilty.

The question was whether or not she actually knew it was wrong. I don't know; neither do any of the rest of us here. Only the doctors who examined her have any basis to know, and they don't seem to agree.

Justice not served. Our only hope is that she is confined in a mental institution for the rest of her life. If she had gone to prison for life, the inmates would have killed her. She tried to kill her children once before; an order said never let her be alone with her children; yet her husband leaves her with them when he goes to work. Go figure. The idea that her crime wasn't premeditated murder is hogwash. IMHO .... IMHO .... she was worn out taking care of 5 children, all born one after the other, got little help from her husband, and did the crime in order to punish him and somehow "restore" her individuality. IMHO.

I think they should introduce or have mental counseling for all the jails! You know the one's that contain murderers, rapists, and serial killers etc, etc, etc!

This way the psych-iatrist could have visited Yates and then the rest of the club. Especially the soon to be released who are now "reformed" and "ready" for society. As some of the "professionals" deem them. Surely such would help as it would allow them to "express" their problems.

It's amazing how much trouble people will go through or scream about getting "help" for such as Yates. I guess when it's someone else's children....I think her husband and others should be tried for not protecting his children from this "ill" person.

IT IS THE WORST KIND OF TRAJEDY! SHE DOESN'T NEED HELP, SHE JUST NEEDS A ROOM! GOD BLESS HER KIDS.

Gen. 4:10 "And He said, "What have you done? the voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground. So now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand."
