Disgraceful and horrible! And utterly self-defeating.
It is obviously supposed to be a sort of 'tit for tat' attack on Moslems, but it plays right into the hands of Daesh who would like nothing better than to drive a wedge between Moslems and the rest of the community.

"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbour and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven" (Matthew 5:43-44).

Exactly - this guy is doing Daesh's dirty work for them: the two recent Wahhabist attacks have been with the intent of, amongst other things, pitting Muslims against non-Muslims. This chap has risen to their bait.

One attacking another in such unprovoked style is always the work of a thug coward and horrible.

It is well known; People gravitate toward and are most personally comfortable with LIKE minded people.

And the fact is; Religious and Cultural differences and perceived threats will never be resolved with a diplomatic solution.

Well, the Muslims there held the man until police arrived, not taking the law into their own hands and exacting vengeance on him (which is probably what I would have done - to my shame).

Actually men in the crowd did begin beating the man, and stopped when an Islamic cleric arrived and cautioned them against beating the man, and approved them pinning the man down until authorities arrived.

Wonder when Britain will outlaw vehicles and knives, the current weapons of choice for terrorists?

That's not a fact at all. They certainly can be resolved if all sides are willing to talk to each other.

Spiritual beliefs divide people. From the beginning the land we call the "middle east" has been plagued with division of spiritual beliefs. A group of men representing the political aspect of world nations sitting at a round table deciding how to combat the results effected by the division of People of opposing Spiritual beliefs.... is a FAIL.

Diplomacy and diplomatic solutions to a Spiritual issue is a FAIL.

There will be NO peace on earth, until Christ Jesus returns.

Perhaps we should let women sit at the table then...

I can't help but notice that you have changed "Religious and Cultural differences and perceived threats" to "Spiritual beliefs" for your response to me. You have changed the issue, apparently because you could not justify your previous assertion.

But that's not what we were talking about.

I live in Texas. We are a diverse state and there is no widespread violence here. There is no widespread violence in the United States. There is relatively little widespread violence in the Americas. Throughout the world, there is probably less widespread violence than there has been in most of human history.

It is true that there will be no perfect peace until Christ comes to destroy evildoers forever, but we live in relative peace as a world today.

Uh, fact: Terrorists do not want to talk. They want to kill and conquer.

Because? Women might be more effective to preach emotions trump religious beliefs?

No I have not changed the issue.
There is always a division among Spiritual beliefs. And Spiritual beliefs often dictate Cultures and Traditions of like minded people. And often we find such Spiritual Beliefs, Cultures, Traditions among people who have traditionally occupied Lands together.

    You must be joking.

VIOLENT crime is on the retreat in most advanced economies. The latest US figures, for 2013, show that murder rates are lower now than in the early 1960s. In the same year, homicides in Japan hit a post-war low. In England and Wales the level of violence has dropped by 66 per cent since the latest peak in 1995.

In fact, big falls in homicides have happened in virtually all developed societies over the past 20 years. In the US, it is clear that the decline in violence extends to robbery, assault, rape, child maltreatment, domestic abuse and school bullying.

Why violent crime is plummeting in the rich world
