that jesus will be ONLY rapturing out of the World those saints who are Spirit filled/walking with God, while those who are carnal/luke warm get "left behind" to have the tribulation "fire them up" for God?
ANY Ever hear of A "partial rapture" Theory?

Sounds like purgatory.
-
Every time I hear it, it sounds like we only go part way up. Maybe that would be progressive rapture. :)
-
Typical invitation to speculation. The Bible is clear. If you are saved, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit and will be raptured. Nothing about earning rapture by walking with the Lord.

maybe those here holding to more of a "Lordship" salvation process might find themselves in ageement with this position though? -
I've heard of the partial rapture theory, but I don't know anybody who holds that view. Do any of you here on the Baptist Board know anybody who does?
And Jesus Fan, I don't there's any correlation between Lordship Salvation and the PR theory. -
I don't agree with such silliness. -
I know of one person who claims that he has been given a revelation from God that he will be staying here when the rapture happens, so that he may help out the two preachers in the tribulation.
Keep in mind that this is not my personal belief, just what he says. -

Sounds Like the Persons Who Believe This ....
.... need to complete their study of the Word. If this is a possibility, then I pray I'm in the first group to go, as I don't want to be here when all hell breaks out. :tear: -

So the question that arises is how would evangelical ministry "hasten the day?" If we accept the Calvinistic view that everyone has already been selected then the day when all have been saved is a fixed future appointed time. Our efforts would not hasten it. Thus yet another verse indicating the Calvinistic view misses the mark.
"Tarry" conveys the idea that a person has a job to do and is not doing it, whereas delay might be viewed as waiting patiently for our evangelical ministry to fulfill its purpose.

QUOTE=Aaron;1733195]Yes, I've heard this, as well as multiple variations on the topic. Now that your church is essentially Pentecostal, you're going to witness a lot more silliness. Shoot, in ten years if the Lord tarries and the U.S. is still around, you'll have a fairly large repertoir of strange, unusual and entertaining stories to tell. :type:Click to expand...
The BB is misunderstand me on this OP!
NOT saying that I or my Church hold to that, just IF any here on the BB either heard to or hold to it!
My pastor holds to "historica;" pre Mil, while majority of Us hold to the pre trib pre mil version! -

I do not believe that Jesus is being "held" in heaven at all. He is seated at the Father's right hand making intercession for the saints and is simply awaiting His Father's word to go claim His bride. I do not think Jesus is being restrained in any way; after all, He came to do the will of His Father. This hasn't changed now that He's in heaven with His Father.
