Exo 21:22 "When men strive together and hit a pregnant woman, so that her children come out, but there is no harm, the one who hit her shall surely be fined, as the woman's husband shall impose on him, and he shall pay as the judges determine.
Exo 21:23 But if there is harm, then you shall pay life for life,
God calls the child in the womb life. And God required that when that life was murdered then the remedy was the death penalty. There is no doubt that God abhors the slaughter of unborn children as scripture indicates. Scripture is clear the child in the womb is life and ending that life is murder.

We are all sinners without Calvary, we'd all be lost regardless of how good our lives and deeds might appear to others or how much they might approve of our judgement.
OTOH (on the other hand) since we all claim to be Christians on this board..... that means we are saved but we aren't yet perfected, so we owe each other some patience and grace as in each of us, "God's still working on me" is the best that we can claim.
However, I understand your frustration when you sense that some post but aren't aware of the contradictions, or dishonesty, between what they claim to believe and what they chose to do. As deserving and appropriate as some rebuke seems, there is also the necessity to try to season such with grace, as we are called to love one another.
I think I can identify with you in that I have yet to see someone post a convincing arguement..... not for me to believe for myself..... but for me to believe was a significant difference for them in voting for Obama.
That they agree with socialism doesn't cut it for me: Socialism is recognizing the government as the source of ones prosperity and security. People who want socialism don't see it thus...... they think that this is governments job: but they don't recognize that in socialism they are supporting the recognition by the lost that man and his government is in control of what's good and bad in their life and look to government for answers in stead of seeking God in answer to their need. Socialism cannot answer man's needs. But it is successful in creating a false illusion which blocks man's acknowledgement of the need for God, and encourages a false hope which leads man away from God instead of developing their awareness of needing him or their faith (if they have any) that God alone is capable of supplying all their needs. It wasn't for nought that Jesus asked the question that when he returned would he find faith on the earth.
As Christians, we need to be reminded sometimes that man is no substitute for God. All authorities which he allows are beneath his sovereign power. Not all follow after his righteousness although he may permit them to rule. Even those who are just, in as much as it is possible for man to be just, are under his power, and it is God who we need, and seek, and honor and trust for he is true and faithful, who wavers not..... and not the frail failablity of fallen man. Even as Christians, we are not perfect even in leadership.... and God is still working on and in and through each of us....... if we are humble enough to acknowledge it. -
Those particular posters full well see the contradictions and dishonesty...
