Many pastors believe we're in the final days of the Church. The next great event will be the Rapture.
What's your take on this?
There is a new Bible based end time movie called "Gone"
Here's the link

Has anyone seen it and if so is it any good?

Hello,
Sorry I have not seen the movie. But, I do believe Jesus is coming soon and we need to be living holy lives and witnessing every opportunity we get.

Are We Days Away From The Rapture? No.
The exact same question was asked during Gulf War I. The answer then was also "no". -
Since the rapture is mythical and not presented anywhere in scripture, my simple answer is no. We may look for Jesus coming at any time though.
Cheers,
Jim -
The word Rapture may not be in the Bible, but the words "caught up" are. I believe time is winding down and we should be witnessing more. We should live every day like it was our last day on earth.
Some people believe in the Rapture, some don't. But it pays to be ready, just in case.
I do believe in it.
In Christ
Susan -
I agree Susan. "No man knoweth the day or hour"; so we should be ready at all times.
If the rapture came tonight it wouldn't be too soon for me! Yes, I am pretrib.
I am looking for the UPPERTAKER, not the UNDERTAKER! :D
Blessings,
Sue -
Amen! Listening for that sweet trumpet sound!

Christians will never agree on eschatology. Never have and never will. We need to always live each day as if it will be our last on earth whether Jesus returns and brings this present heavens and earth to an end and ushers in eternity or whether we may die(which the percentages say is more likely for any one of us).

UpperTaker here too! I'll gladly climb onto my rooftop... but alas,
Come Quickly, Lord Jesus! -
Are We Days Away From The Rapture?
Yes. 0.24 days...3 days...44 days...679 days...134,865 days.... who knows? except the Father. -
Days, yes, how many, noone knows, no use speculating since we can't possibly know. My lifetime, maybe, soon becasue of the war, no I don't think do.

Be Ready When the Bridegroom Comes
James M. Black, 1897
Are you walking now in the light of God?
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
Are you in the path that the Master trod?
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
Refrain
Will you be ready to enter in?
Ready when the Bridegroom comes?
In the morning light, or at noon, or night,
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
Have you full salvation from every sin?
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
Trusting in His Word, have you peace within?
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
Refrain
Is your heart made clean by the precious blood?
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
Have you been made white in the cleansing flood?
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
Refrain
He will come some day unto every soul;
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
By His healing power let Him make you whole—
Be ready when the Bridegroom comes.
Refrain
May we be like the battery...Eveready..
If my Lord returns before I go home to Him, praise God!!
If I go home before He returns, praise God!!
In the words of our elder Brother Paul, for me to live is Christ, and to die is gain for I go to be with Him, and to be absent from the flesh is to be present with my Lord. He might come before I finish my edit, He might delay another few years. Let us live each day for Him, and let Him sort-out the travel arrangements..
May God bless.

Jude stated that the Lord will come with ten thousands of his saints to execute judgement. No real indication is given when it will be.
This may well be contraversial, but there have been times in our history scince Christ that the world has been far more open to things we consider wrong, brutal things have been carried out in the world in recent centuries past. So i dont think behavioutr of people is the best indicator of when Christ will return.
A better indicator might be the percentage of people in the world that have heard the Gospel, which is still way to low. God wants us to tell everyone. It is an achievable goal. -
-
Soon? Yes. Days? Who knows...except the Father and the Son.
-
No one knows the day or the hour, but God the father. On the other hand Paul writes in 1 Thes. 4&5 that we are children of the light. God does not want us to be in darkness when it comes to the second coming of Christ. That is why he gave us so many clues as to his coming in Matt 24 and II Tim 3. He wants us to have our homes in order. We may not be able to know the exact time, but the season is definately upon us! Glad I accepted Christ and am now ready to fly. COME SOON LORD!
-
Well...I like to believe in the rapture of the church. But I also know that pastors have been saying it's the last days...for at least the last couple of centuries.
We can not predict the day or the time...It will come like a theif in the night...and in the twinkling of an eye. We can only instead of get ready, endeavor to stay ready.
No worries.

We should not consider ourselves with this at all. We should pray as we were taught to pray, and then act on our prayer, so His will is "done on earth, as it is in heaven."
Dave -
Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
so maybe we need to be considerate.
Another thing is, why do some versions say, "Be on guard or be alert!" Are they afraid that they are going to get caught doing something bad? Hum.
