Interesting new deal, if you go to a new Dr these days, they have you fill out multiple questions. Used to be those questions were limited to facts about your physical condition. Not any more. They want to know about your sex life, whether you may be being abused, mentally or physically, by your partner/partners, & on & on. I’m so mad by the time I get past that….I don’t even want to see a Dr after that…..I am to the point where I’d rather die at home than get put on ‘the wheel’. Then I saw this chart, maybe you will see what I saw, that the current government IS abusive to it’s citizens.
That’s related to an important part of one’s health - everything from screening for disease to learning if you are suffering from ED or prostate issues, which are potential signs of systemic issues.
I’m very glad they ask this. It helps people get out of abusive relationships.
That’s a weird reaction, since the only people I think would be upset about it would be abusers.
That may happen since you reject mainstream medical science.
If you want to ask about E.D., ask. If you want to ask about prostate, ask.
By these modern definitions, everybody is probably abused. I hate leftists.
Nah, I am just acting like King David. I think we can build a good Scriptural case for hating the wicked. I can put my High Calvinist hat on for a while.
In other words, if you fulfill your duties as a Christian Husband, and have a good relationship, then you're abusive.
I happily fit numbers 1 thru 12.
I will correct my wife if there is an issue with who she is listening to.
My wife was listening to Beth Moore one day after Mrs. Moore chose to preach to men.
I shut that down right away, false teachers will not teach my family nor wife, and God will hold men accountable who allow that in their family.
I will sometimes override my wife's opinion on the clothes my toddler daughter wears if I feel it is not conservative enough.
She don't need to be wearing no short shorts and don't need to be getting into that habit.
I've done the same with my wife when we were first married and she wanted to wear yoda pants in public.
Those are bedroom clothes.
If them tight fitting pants enticed a man, which they would, then I would rightly be held responsible by the Lord.
Likewise my wife has full access to monitor my online usage of the internet as there's so much in the area of lust that I am susceptible to and it's easy to access online.
I have software that takes random screenshots at all times, combined with algorithms that take screenshots anytime the algorithm detects something "suspicious" on-screen.
David did a lot of wicked things. You are not supposed to be a disciple of Jesus, you are supposed to be a disciple of Jesus.
No, not really. God loves the world and Jesus laid down His life because of His love for the wicked. Jesus will judge appropriately and righteously at the end of the age, but we do not have the right to hate the wicked. We are commanded to love our enemies.
Try picking up the cross of Jesus instead and die to your prejudices and contempt for others.
No, because Ephesians 5:21 does not primarily command the husband to submit to the wife, rather the Bible as a whole teaches the other way around.
Ephesians 5:21 is a reinforcing verse of the idea of the "weaker brother" in a marriage context.
Women are the weaker vessel according to God.
The husband is to love the wife as Christ loves the Church.
Christ teaches the Church, admonishes the Church, gave Himself for the Church, exhorts the Church, but He does not submit to the Church.
Therefore a husband should do all the above, but he most definitely should not accept the farce of the abomination of current unbiblical "servant leadership" teachings.
I'm glad you have changed your assertion. Previously you claimed you "hated" persons who were "leftists" from your perspective. You are not called to "like" wicked people (or anyone else), but to love them.
The principle of mutual submission is established in Ephesians 5:21, and then the verses that follow (a modified version of the Roman 'household code') show examples of how that is done. In the Greek, there is no verb for submit in Ephesians 5:22. The verb meaning "to submit" is found only in the preceding verse (v. 21).
Let's take that 1 verse and compare it to the entirety of scriptural teaching about men ruling their households and families:
"Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well." 1 Timothy 3:12
"For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior." Ephesians 5:23
"Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor. Yet she will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith and love and holiness, with self-control." 1 Timothy 2:11-15
"He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive" 1 Timothy 3:4
"But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God." 1 Corinthians 11:3
"Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives" 1 Peter 3:1
So, either that 1 verse doesn't mean what you think it means OR that 1 verse stands in juxtaposition with the entirety of scriptural teachings.
Perhaps a better interpretation of Ephesians 5:22 would be that husbands need to treat their wives with the knowledge of their weakness and therefore need not throw their weight around in non-important areas?
