Why do you think so? What's your evidence? Tell me why you think your calling and election are sure.
Are you saved?

God. That's all.

Please expound, Doctor.

Paul said it best:
I know in whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have commited unto Him against that day.
Also, you simply know. Know that He is with me, know that He cares for me, Know that He hears me. Then, yes there is actual experiences. Instant, even miraculous answer to prayer that I won't go into, that is between Him and I.
Then there were times, in a Church I attended that the laymen of the Church were sometimes invited to deliver the message. I am, of myself, a bumbling and stumbling speaker, but guess what? By His grace, all went well everytime. It took a lot of prayer for me to stand up there!
This is not to say that it has all been rosy. He is our Heavenly Father and children (this child anyway) has a way of getting out of line. I have learned what The Father's chastisement is like! I have learned to be grateful, even of that.
Hope this answers your question. -
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

Yes, I'm saved. Why? Because I called upon God and asked him to come into my heart and save me. If you want more proof than that, I can't help you out. It's simple faith that does it. I can't ask God for a handwritten note to give me assurance- however, I CAN read His words in the Bible for assurance. Other than that, I don't wish to get into a theological or semantic argument/discussion about it.

Yes I'm saved. How do I know. Without having to argue(and I'm not, so whatever your opinion about the how and why and whatfors I don't care.)
1. Because I've done what the bible says, call on Jesus to forgive my sins.(even if I haven't worded it right to suit anyone else)
2. Holy Spirit in me.
3. God has made too much difference in me, in who I am, it could never have been because of me I could never have done the things I've done without Him doing them through me. -
I am saved because God saved me. What about you Timothy?

I know I am saved because God sent His Son to live among us and die for my sins on a cross, that I might be cleansed and forgiven all my sins and live in communion with Him through the power of the Holy Spirit, until I am called Home to spend all eternity with Him.

Yes, and I KNOW it because...
I John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren.
I John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life,
I John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
II Cor 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. -
Perhaps it all boils down to what little children sing:
Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so! -
I know I am saved, because He came to me. He gave me repentence and faith. And Jesus saved me.

I'm just thinking...
Nevertheless, there is every single day that I live and I have to get through it. So lately, I have privately practiced calling on the name of the Lord every day, to save, protect, heal and any other good thing that applies to today. I think I am learning something and more time will tell. I have failed too many times and so often and It seems I need a savior for every day that I live on this Earth.
Save me, protect me, rescue me, heal me, deliver me and forgive me today. These prayers often turn into: Save us, protect us, rescue us, heal us, deliver us and forgive us today. For I am only part of the body of Christ.
Born out of desperation and perpetuated by wisdom, I continue to call on the name of the Lord and I rest in hope.

I am saved, Praise the Lord!! An IFB Pastor told me that if I was led to the Lord using an NIV translation of the Bible, then I probably wasn't saved. But I believe that my God is bigger than the translation debate and He can save me by any means necessary or available...The Holy Spirit! AMEN!! I'm SAVED SAVED SAVED!!

If there are Pastors out there saying this, God help us all! -
I am saved by His Grace and Providence Enough said -
If there are Pastors out there saying this, God help us all! </font>[/QUOTE]Man, let me tell you...I was completely devastated by that remark! I needed counsel after that and I stayed at that church several more months (don't ask me why) but finally left. Too much brow beating going on there...but I'm glad I accept that as error and know that I am saved! -
