Bankruptcy

It would mostly depend on why he declared bankruptcy. It could also depend on what he learned from bankruptcy. Some of the best businessmen bankrupted the first or even the first few businesses they started.

 

I know that this will be an unpopular view, but my opinion is that bankruptcy is flat out stealing. Legalized, yes. But stealing nonetheless.

And so it follows for me that a man who declares bankruptcy should not be a treasurer.

However, this is not a permanent disqualification in my eyes. If that person repents, and makes things right by paying back everything they owe, then I could see a restoration.

Certainly. It's par for course considering the 20 trillion dollar debt canyon the previous politicians have managed to dig.

 

ALL depends on what were the circumstances, for having to do that due to medical expenses that were not intended to happen is much different than running up Las vegas debt!

 

No. Ask those who were stiffed the money owed them what they think.

 

You mean like the excess extra built into most medical procedures for expenses?
That is why I do not feel too bad if one is hit by unexpected medical costs and needs to declare bankruptcy.

 

I guess it all depends. Some people need to get "stiffed." They rip people off and deceive them; I have no sympathy for the deceptive lender when the duped borrower uses legal remedy.

 

It is provided for legally. I would also say that I would be convicted to go under the route that allowed me to pay back my creditors, but at the rate a judge decided!
