A few comments on items in Jeptha's list:
Some additional Baptist abreviations(historical/contemporary) used for churches, organizations or association may also include:
GB
General Baptists
PB
Particular Baptists
{Note: "General" and "Particular" in Baptist nomenclature usually refer to theories about the purpose or efficacy of Christ's atonement - haruo}
SB Strick Baptists
{*Strict* , maybe?}
RB
Reformed Baptists (Paedobaptist)
{This is the first I've heard of Reformed Baptists being pædobaptists! The term usually refers to Calvinistic Baptists, as opposed to Arminian ones. Most Baptist theology in America has been informed by Calvinism but not dogmatically devoted to it. Baptists who call themselves "Reformed" usually are forthright supporters of "5-point, TULIP" Calvinism. But while it's true that Calvin himself was opposed to believers' baptism except for those raised outside the church, i.e. adult converts, and saw the sacrament of baptism as much more substitutionary for circumcision than most Baptist theologians have seen our ordinance of baptism, I have never before heard that the RBs followed Calvin in this heresy
;)

FGB Free Grace Baptists (Arminian)
{Also "Free Will" or simply "Free"}
