It's not a scriptural issue. If a church wants to be run by a pastor who can't spell, that's their right to do so. Scripture does not exclude idiots, buffons, and mental midgets as pastors.

That said, why a church would choose an idiot, buffon, or mental midget to the office of pastor is beyond me.

 

Ok Aaron, the accused has the right to know what he is being judged for. So, I'm asking. What actions of mine are you judging?

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness

NO where did I criticize him for not having a "formal" education...
I know very fine preachers that never had a "formal" education..

BUT THEY STUDIED HARD..

A call to preach is a call to study..
Any buffoon can open a closed church, invite his family, and act like he is preaching... THAT IS NOT A PREACHER.

Any man that burns bibles is from Satan. Period.

I don't care what he looks like, sounds like, dresses like... it is his actions that are Satanic. Praise God he only has 14!...

Of all the people in this thread so far to come down on someone uneducated, you're on the least stable ground—at least as it appears to me by your grammatical atrocities, and by the fragments with which you've littered this board in place of sound sentence and paragraph structure.

My opinion of his book burning? Erroneous and overzealous, but burning demonic publications is Scriptural. His error is not in burning books, but in what he has judged to be demonic.

If he's to be criticized, it's to be on those bases, not on his manner of dress and speech or lack of formal education, and especially not on the basis of what one fears proud and idolatrous people might think.

Agin, this is a message board... I don't care if my sentence structure is proper inglish... This is informal...

But a pasture that don't know the diff between emersion and immershun... has not studied 2 show himself approved.

This guy is an embarrassment! I read this news story to my folks last week when the story first came to light. They laughed, shook their heads and wandered how such a person could be a pastor and had even greater curiosity about the people who would attend such a church.

It does give me a chance to speak to my congregation about bible translations and the philosophy behind the different versions which I am going to do this Wednesday.

He has a right to be an idiot if he wants to be as I have a right to well call him an idiot.
