It's not a scriptural issue. If a church wants to be run by a pastor who can't spell, that's their right to do so. Scripture does not exclude idiots, buffons, and mental midgets as pastors.

That said, why a church would choose an idiot, buffon, or mental midget to the office of pastor is beyond me.

If you, and others, are as inclined to worry about the Church as you are to criticize this man in overalls you should worry about heretics such as Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen and their heretical Word Faith movement . These people have an audience of hundreds of thousands. How many does the "Amazing Grace Church" have?

My opinion of his book burning? Erroneous and overzealous, but burning demonic publications is Scriptural. His error is not in burning books, but in what he has judged to be demonic.

If he's to be criticized, it's to be on those bases, not on his manner of dress and speech or lack of formal education, and especially not on the basis of what one fears proud and idolatrous people might think.

This guy is an embarrassment! I read this news story to my folks last week when the story first came to light. They laughed, shook their heads and wandered how such a person could be a pastor and had even greater curiosity about the people who would attend such a church.

It does give me a chance to speak to my congregation about bible translations and the philosophy behind the different versions which I am going to do this Wednesday.

He has a right to be an idiot if he wants to be as I have a right to well call him an idiot.
