My name comes from the British Isles too, with most of my DNA being from Scotland. But I'm an American and thankful for it. You couldn't pay me enough money to live in "the UK".

 

Mine comes from England, but the vast majority of my blood is native American. Even though I have never had DNA testing done, according to my granny, the small percentage of white blood has a couple of slave children that "passed" mixed in there.

 

According to family info, my great grandmother was supposed to be "black Dutch" or part Native American. From her photos, she appeared to have Native American features. But unfortunately the DNA test which my sister had done on me (for genealogical purposes) was not the mtDNA test which traces the maternal line. So I don't know the Native American ancestry with absolute certainty. But I'm 100% American. We all came here from somewhere else.
