I see there that Keach also meant little children, as Spurgeon:
In theory I agree with Mr. Brown. But in fact I am extremely skeptical of baptizing two or three year olds, and can say that I have never personally seen any cases in which I would have been confident to baptize someone that young despite the sincere views of my more imminent brethren Keach and Spurgeon.

Thankfully, we do not hold as others that one msut be water baptized, as my wife parents were SO concerned that we delayed batizing them as late as we did, as concerned would have gone to limbo if died!

I assume when you write "we do not hold that one must be water baptized" that you mean you do not hold one must be water baptized in order to be born again and have eternal life. I certainly agree. On the other hand, I believe one must be water to be obedient to the command of Christ.

The scriptures give instructions to do all things in an orderly manner. Certainly assessing the qualifications of those wishing to join the fellowship of believers falls under this guidance.
Much of this is part of a modern view of salvation.
When my daughter was 4, her vacation bible teacher (about 15 yrs old, herself) joyfully told us that my daughter had prayed to receive Jesus into her heart, was therefore saved, and baptism should follow. I thanked her, but did not seek to have her baptized.

So again, it’s a sin forgiveness thing... an atonement.

Atonement and payment was at the Cross, not in the water!

IMO, VBS is good or not good according to how it is conducted, especially when it comes to presenting the Gospel and seeking a response.
The desire for "numbers" can lead to unbiblical actions and conclusions, but I see no inherent evil in gathering kids to learn about God and hear about His salvation.

Vbs is useful to treach children baout Jesus, but we should be dubious of just how many real salvationa are occuring among the very young!

I've also seen this Mon-Fri event called "Five-Day Club."
Our church holds VBS 9-12 AM, lots better for outdoor games and activities, after which the snow-cone machine is a huge favorite.
The closing/graduation ceremony is the Sunday evening service following VBS, and parents are encouraged to come and watch their kids get awards.
A number of adults have come to Christ as a result of this service.
