A half a dozen undifferentiated cells is not a child.
>So you think these counseling centers are a bad idea?
I don't have any data on their results. It would be interesting to know the economic and educational status of the women these centers counseled five and ten years ago. Are they living independent lives and paying their bills or are they on welfare?
Is it not true that most (a majority of, more than 51% of) single mothers are on welfare? Are many not second or third generation welfare families? Is there any logical or moral way to separate the moral and economic consequences? Pragmatically, does the program not breed a serf class . . . American Dalits?
I have the same problem with the "sent money to a child in a foreign country" charities which have been around for 50 years. If the program was a success one would think that it should be self-perpetuating by now.

If a lecture about keeping her pants on will convince a teen aged girl then one sermon about staying under the speed limit should convince a Baptist?
You don't think there should be sermons that reference biblical statements about civil leaders and civil ordinances being to us by God for our good? Doesn't this include the speed limit laws?
Yes, even a single cell is (can be) human but a single cell is not a child. We slough off thousands of human cells every day. They are not children.
Say a finger is amputated in an accident. The detached finger is "alive" because it can be grafted back and live. If it was dead it could not be grafted and live. Do we give funerals and burials to amputated parts that are not grafted back on to the body?

I am against abortion but some of these pregnancy centers were telling women that abortions increase the chances of breast cancer. This has not been proven and is not true based on any supported studies. So they should not be saying that.
However, I do not think that pregnancy centers should have to tell women they have the option of an abortion. Like, duh, she wouldn't know that already?

You're absolutely correct. It's not necessary to be disingenuous to be anti-abortion.I am against abortion but some of these pregnancy centers were telling women that abortions increase the chances of breast cancer. The problem in the OP is that there were enough instances of such centers being disingenuous about that, which prompted the legislation. If the resource centers in question were honest and upfront, there would have been no need for the legislation. However, I do not think that pregnancy centers should have to tell women they have the option of an abortion. Actually she may not be right and this would mean the same for you. For one thing... Planned Parenthood is not interested in funding research which, if done honestly, might present findings critical to its purposes and profits....lots of profits. Planned Parenthood has denied request that it does post abortion follow-up and it refuses. Planned Parenthood stabilizes and discharges, so it doesn't collect data on botched or complications following abortions which does happen. You're absolutely correct.
FYI, city councils don't legislate.it It's not necessary to be disingenuous to be anti-abortion.

Don't most of the customers come because they want some sort of financial help?
They don't? What do you call a city ordinance? A suggestion?FYI, city councils don't legislate.
Can''t change stupid. They don't? What do you call a city ordinance? A suggestion?
