Well, actually birth control items such as IUD's and the morning after pill can be considered the same and is in fact aborting life. Do you believe that life starts at conception? This means that a womans egg is already fertilized and cells have already started splitting, then methods that cause her body to reject or dispose of that (now living) organizm can be considered to be abortion. Now, lets see if methods that prevent the sperm from meeting the egg fit can also be considered abortion as the person presenting the OP says.
Good discussion!
IF the couple together mutually agree to have and use birth control, no sin, but if the Lord still allows for the new life still, then to abort the baby would be a sin!
So, Yeshua 1, it is up to the couple to play God.
THEY decide.
Suppose that a husband and wife say to God, "We've decided how many children we will have, when we will have them, and when we will stop having children, and you have no say in the matter." How do you think God reacts to these words? Isn't God offended when these people attempt to keep Him from having any influence over the procreation of children? All children are God's children.
What I'm saying (not sure about the creator of the OP) is if a couple uses contraception, they are, by their actions, saying to God that they are unwilling to conceive a child, even if it be God's will. Contraception is a sin because the couple has decided to play God.
Just wondering, how do
people on this board believe that most abortions occur? I know the vast majority of evangelicals are pro-life, I once was one of you. The idea of contraception is to prevent conception from occurring. However, as I mentioned above, certain methods of contraception also have the ability to prevent the implantation of a fertilized egg, or to kill the fertilized egg shortly after implantation, thereby causing the death of a human being very early in life. This type of abortion occurs before the woman even realizes she has conceived. Because the use of these types of contraception is so wide-spread, it is likely that most abortions occur in this way.
But you cannot say all contraception is abortion. Refusing to pro-create or attempting to control the timing of pro-creation is not called abortion. They are wo different issues or topics.
I know that it is not acceptable to God for anyone of their own
doing...to bring about the prevention of the womb
from bearing the fruit, of a husband and wife union?
If you do not believe what I know is true then tell me why?
