Seems like a week excuse in favor of the Bible contains untruths. Is that what you are saying?
Did you somehow miss the little laughing yellow guy? It was a joke. Man, some people are as stiff as a board...

This statement is pretty clear and it's the third time he's said it so I don't think there's any question about his belief.

The president also said that he prays to the same God as those with different religious beliefs.

"I do believe there is an almighty that is broad and big enough and loving enough that can encompass a lot of people," Bush said.
You disagree with his statement? God's love is limited in your estimation? I don't see him saying anything about universal salvation from his statement. Of course, being a liberal, I'm sure you do. I see a very vague reply as to not offend anyone, which I don't agree with...but nothing shocking.

Because the first thing I saw him or her do here was complain. Why shouldn't new people post with grace ?

And just what, exactly was ungrateful ? He stated he may not stay, due to the discourse. I asked him a question. Seems fair.

But I know how people here like to point there bony fingers at "lesser" Christians.

Bush has been a liberal president. There was a conservative on the ballot this year, at least, but we still have a lot of work to do.
Now you are flat out making stuff up. Here is the EXACT quote you replied to. Note: nothing about staying...

Bush is a liberal? I do believe that's the first time I've ever heard that. I'll have to write this in my journal. :)

Oh...and when did grace become something we did when it is given to us? Such bitterness... :tear:

He was speaking of another thread where I said "Me thinks me should rethink joining?"

It was said jokingly.

The sensitive folks are the ones bothered by what Bro. Curtis said. Move on.
...or the ones who would like to show newbies a little more grace, I mean...there is that little thing about being Christ's representatives and all...

We don't want him, he's the GOP's. He used his religion to get the GOP to put him in office now we learn he doesn't believe all the Bible is true.

You mean like Carter did?

Bush said that Muslims are saved by a way other than through Jesus Christ. I think you cut that out of your quote. Do you actually believe that? What other ways do you think can lead to salvation?

Where was that in the interview? Me thinks you make things up about Bush due to sheer hate. I didn't cut anything out...you just added your own.

OK webdog, you don't know what you are talking about, and you are sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong, and I will not bow down before you. My statement was not to you, so butt out. I will not bother to explain myself further.

Such ignorance.....

Here is the post where spinach says he may not stay. You will note it is before the post where I ask him if he is staying. No nastiness impled, save for webdog & DF.

You can apologize anytime for your ignorant attempt at exalting yourself at anytime, guys. I know it's hard to stay informed, so it's best to go in guns blazin, then blame the injured.....

As for spinach, I'm glad you are staying.

OK,back on topic, I truly believe God would not tell a lie. If one believes Noah's ark, Jonah & the fish, David & Goliath, Sodom & Gomorrah, and the Tower of Babel are all fairy tales, how could they possibly trust in a virgin birth & resurrection ?

I don't know what Bush believes, it could be he's trying to please folks, like he's been known to do to a fault, or he had actually compromised his faith. Either way, it is perfectly fine to be suspicious of a Christian who seems to be so doctrinally weak.

And I think you are nosey & self pious, and grew weary of your judgements a long time ago.

I wasn't nasty to spinach, so please drop it. I don't care what you think of me.
