Act 16:31
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
Believing is a reponse.
Mat_9:13
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Uh, "respond" is a Modern English word. And there are many modern English dictionaries.
Now, if you want to go back to Hebrew and Greek I will play.
I can't find "respond" in the NT of any English Bible I own. Perhaps you could recommend one that uses that word in the NT.
However, my WEB bible uses "respond" in Proverbs 29:19 , a translation of the Hebrew word מענה. And, guess what! It's a VERB ! An ACTIVE VERB ! Something you DO ! :)

sigh, I don't know how else to take this except you cannot show me from scripture that response to God in salvation biblically is considered a work. What we are talking about here is that your assertion that if man must respond it is a work is in error. Scripture never suggests such an idea. I just figured if you were going to assert it you could defend it.
As far as your divergent request is concerned
Romans 10:9-10 , Acts 2:38; 3:19; 17:30

Where can you show me from scripture that our responding to God results in our regeneration?
Can you even show me the word "respond" in the New Testament?

If you've never responded then you must be dead.
If you are dead it's too late.

Jesus stated that only his own would heed his voice, only those whom the Father gave unto him to be saved, and that his parables were meant to give those blind spiritual more blindness, but would be received by his own!

Matthew 1 1:25
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
It looks like Jesus is saying who He has hid it from here, nothing to do with the elect or non elect

None of those passages say "Jesus stated that only his own would heed his voice, only those whom the Father gave unto him to be saved, and that his parables were meant to give those blind spiritual more blindness, but would be received by his own!"
And you did not include the context of who it was Jesus said He came for.
