Jesus told him there was none good, this means no one can keep or fulfill all the commandments. If one could, Christ wouldn't have had to die. The law brings death and declares us quilty before God. The law never was a life giver. It is our school master to lead us to Christ. I feel like Jesus was trying to see if he would acknowledge that he couldn't keep it all. If he would hav acknowledged this, Jesus could have said I have grace to cover all your sins. It's not of works of righteousness which we have done, but having Jesus righteousness imputed on us. He was the only that could fulfill the law.
Regarding Matthew 7:21-23.
Three things to note.
First, only those who do the will of God the Father will enter His kingdom, v.21.
Secondly,
those who where not in God's will were trusting in what they thought they had done, v.22.
So, thirdly, so that is why they had not done God's will, to have recieved His gift.
So it was that Jesus had never knew them, v.23.
I am a Trinitarian. And I reject the unBiblical Nicene Tinitarianism because it rejects that the Son of God is not caused, that is, He is not begotten to be the Eternal Son.
That the only-begotten Son is neither begotten or made. YHWH is not begotten and the Son is YHWH (John 8:24) even as His Father is YHWH.
If we are truly born again, we are a new creature in Christ. His Spirit abides within us.
This is the earnest of our inheritance.
The Spirit bears witness that we are the children of God. If one hasn't experienced the new birth, he/she isn't saved and therefore doesn't belong to the Lord.
God's identity is that He is the uncaused existence. His Hebrew name, YHWH, can be translated as the "Self Existent."
He is infinite, invisible, and omnipresent. Acts of the Apostles 17:28.
His Son, His Logos, is both His Father's equal and as such He is His
Father's finite and temoral agent in all things, John 1:3; John 1:18; Genesis 12:7; John 14:6. As God is the true God (John 17:3) His Son is the true Light (John 1:9-10; Hebrews 1:2-3).
They, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are the one God
in subtance.
John 4:24. The Holy Spirit's role is that He is how they are one.
Romans 8:9.
And of course the Holy Spirit is Himself, Romans 8:16.
