This was mentioned on another thread that some believe that the devil can read our thoughts and others believe that he cannot. Some believe that the devil only knows our thoughts if we speak them aloud.
Can Satan know what we are thinking?
Can the Devil read our thoughts?

Satan is very intelligent, clever, and has lots and lots of help. He is not, however, omniscient. I believe your thoughts are private but your actions are open for all spiritual forces to see. If you have been watched since you were a baby it would not be terriblly difficult to have a VERY good idea about what you were thinking. If not for the intervening presence of the Holy Spirit we would be at his total mercy in manipulating us in the direction he wants us to go, but, with the Holy Spirit he has no chance of success.

I have also understood that the Devil, Satan, Lucifer or any of the other many names he goes by cannot read our thoughts. He is not as posted by another, omniscient. That is why it's very important to not speak outloud our doubts or fears or any other form of negativity that can be used to knock us off our foundation.

I think it's creepy thinking about the devil watching me.

I don't think there is any biblical evidence that he can read our minds. However, he has the benefit of studying fleshly, human nature for 6000 years. He probably has a pretty good handle on how we are likely to behave.

fallin angels can take many forms includeing the form of a man.SO my thoughts would be he probably can gain lots of infermation on you to throw any temptation your way tomake you stumble.Specialy for us that are saved, for he wants to make a mochory of GOD.Just my thought.

The great deceiver. The great manipulator. Finds our weaknesses and uses them to knock us off our foundation. Tries to make us doubt ourselves, our fellow man and our faith.
Satan is creepy. But when he starts messing with me...a light bulb goes on...and I say to myself "aha, so that's why that happened" and I begin to pray.
Satan really has no power over us...he's like a run in my nylons...a nuisance...and I'm not going to let him use things to get my spirit in the wrong place, although sometimes he does before I am on to him. Something like this happened to me today in fact. I'm only just realizing it. And I've prayed about it...because God is much more powerful than Satan. -
What's even creepier is...
I'll bet he has a way to read all our emails.
All them demons gotta do something! -
Only God has the power to know our thoughts, although satan is powerful he is simply an angel let's not give him any more credit than he deserves.

Satan was the highest living creature created by the Godhead.
He is highly intelligent, but not all-knowing.
He is active, but not all-present.
He is supernaturally powerful, but not all-powerful
For which we all thank God!
And greater is He who is in YOU than he who is in the world. -
but Satan has had many years of experience at messing with us. He has been having us watched since our birth. Think about it... Your spouse after only a year can push just the right button to mess you up...... Old satan is a pain, and a slick one at that. But no he cannot read our minds. Just an astute student of human nature.

I believe our actions tell him and other all about us. If you watch someone, their dress, what they do, like and dislike, where they spend their time, etc. tell us and him most about us.

Amazing how those weaknesses we encounter that cause us to sin, then realize we "did it again" are always hitting that certqain person.
Justified has weaknesses that he battles that are totally different than mine, yet some of the things that pass before him have never passed before me. This is Satan. Or, is it God allowing him to combat this problem?

Question related to this is:
Does satan know who are reborn and who are not (yet) reborn?
gr. Mauricio -
I believe he knows more from our actions, but then again God says He will not let anyone pluck us out of His hand. So, perhaps God has told him who are His.

If you are a Christian and Satan is not bothering you; are you walking the walk or just talking the talk?

Solomon's prayer:

I think we tend to give the devil too much credit.
Colossians 1:13: He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. -
I don't think there is any biblical evidence that he can read our minds....but he can influence our deeds :( if we take our eyes off Jesus.

Folks, I'm 37, and my MOTHER can still read my thoughts!!
If she can, I'm sure the devil can, too. But I pay it no "mind".
