I wish men like this would not claim to know Jesus.

Carter: "We now have endorsed the concept of pre-emptive war where we go to war with another nation militarily, even though our own security is not directly threatened, We now have endorsed the concept of pre-emptive war where we go to war with another nation militarily, even though our own security is not directly threatened,"
He wouldn't think highly of Joshua, would he? -
One of the best examples of the pot calling the kettle black that I have seen lately.
Carter is surely senile and most likely suffering from dementia. -

This tickles me. Irrelevant is an apt assessment.

I wish that people like Bush who have claimed that Christians and Muslims worship the same God wouldn't call themselves Christians. Actually I would broaden President Carter's statement to say that Bush is by far our WORST president ever. -
Carter and Bush are both toward the bottom of the list of our presidents. And I should know, I voted for both of them(Carter in 1976, Bush in 2000 and 2004) - to my regret. The only time I voted for a Republican or Democrat nominee for president and didn't regret it was for Reagan in 1984. I think I have learned my lesson now.

The only reason Bush might be worse than Carter on foreign policy matters is that Bush has had twice as long to mess things up as Carter did.
Thankfully, we were rid of Carter after one term. Now if there had been a viable candidate from the other side in 2004, maybe we could have got rid of GW after just one term. -
Another term and Carter might have given Alaska back to Russia. <G>

Actually, President Carter brokered the Camp David accord between Egypt and Israel, ending emnity and bringing a peace between those two countries that has lasted for decades. I'd call that foreign policy success.

Even Eugene McCarthy voted for Ronald Reagan and against Carter in 1980!
"Mr. Carter," he said, "quite simply abdicated the whole responsibility of the presidency while in office. He left the nation at the mercy of its enemies at home and abroad. He was the worst president we ever had." -
A man can be saved and have a genuine relationship with Christ and still be wrong from time to time. -
I can't question their Christianity because of their politics. Their actions on the other hand . . .
I'm not happy with either of the men mentioned btw -- this is a bipartisian reflection. -

This would be the same Carter who allowed Americans to be captured in Iran? Pot. Kettle. Black. Need I go on?
