Dear Bonga Dale,
Actually, I worded my question exactly as it should read. Thanks anyway.

Mark Hall and his band shares truth from the Word of God. They do so through preaching, and through music. In their concerts, they will share things such as:
- Encouraging attendees to spend time with God each day.
- Encouraging folks to share the Gospel with others.
- Presenting the Gospel. Two concerts I attended, there was a time offered to come forward and learn more about becoming a follower of Christ.
- Exhorting the Body of Christ to be about the business of loving others, as God loved us.
I answered your question off the top of my head...if it does not meet your standards for theological depth, oh well. No time to research & write.
Like I said, Aaron....I strongly suspect that there is no answer that will satisfy you. So have at it. But I'm asking you as a fellow believer...please be careful about judging folks such as this harshly. -
How is their spirituality manifest in their music?

Just so you'll know...I recognize that you are trying to bait me (or others). It is likely that no answer given by me will suffice.

BRAVO ! BRAVO ! For your excellent response to Aaron !  :applause:
You are quite correct in saying that there's no answer that you, I, or others will give that will satisfy him.
He's convinced that he, and he alone knows what God's criteria for worship is.
And if your answer is not the same as his...

Re: Casting Crowns Concert
Hi All !
I'd like to attend a Casting Crowns concert if they come to the Baltimore,MD. area. I like their music, along with David Crowder Band, Third Day, Chris Tomlin, etc.
My wife and I attend a monthly coffee house that sponsered by my friend's church and all of the local/regional bands that have played there share the Gospel with the audience, pray with individuals, encourage Bible reading and study, and attending church.
And like Casting Crowns, they also are committed to attending their respective churches on Sunday.
Some of the band members are youth pastors and others are primary pastor and perform as an outreach to the community, sharing the Gospel of Christ with those who may not be coming to church for various reasons.
While it may not be perfect spiritual worship FOR SOME...
In Christ,

Aaron,
Now do you see?

Dear Mike (D28Guy),
You wrote: " Ummm...if 2 or more christians are gathered together "in His name" during these concerts, and if the testimonies and/or music leads everyone into group worship, than they meet the spiritual criteria, and even more important, the Lord Jesus Christ is present "in the midst" of that concert venue.
Now do you see? "
That's a GREAT response !  :applause:
Unfortunately, Aaron is unwilling to "see". After all he and he alone knows God's heart in this matter.

Ya know, our church still sings shaped notes. I hate that style of music, but if they are worshipping, I am happy for them. I can worship with them, too.
Why is it such a big deal HOW people worship as long as they ARE worshipping? -

I wish you would simply admit....since Casting Crowns is what you would consider a CCM group, you don't like them, and you don't think what they are doing is of God. I would appreciate your being upfront about your agenda. -
Aaron,
I said...
Even though you...were...not...present.
Ummm...dont you see a little problem there, bud?
I was at a Third Day concert a few years ago. They are a contemporary christian rock band. They didnt lurch around like goons. They stood there and played their instruments. The singer sang. The songs glorified God. They lifted up Jesus Christ through the music and testimonies. Everything was dignified. Everything was "proper" and worshipful. And guess what? Spontaneous worship occurred all over the place. People lifted their arms. I was one of them. Some cried. Some prayed. It was beautiful. Jesus Christ was "there in the midst" and He manifested Himself.
But let me guess. It was "carnal" and "of the flesh", and you know this to be true.
You were not present, of course. But you know it to be be true anyway.
You remind me of the pharisees who kept interrogating the young man you was blind since birth whom Christ healed and gave him his sight.
The guy kept telling them over and over..."I was blind! He healed me, and now I see!!!"
And they kept on interrogating him! Asking him more silly questions. Instead of being joyfull, they just refused to "get it". It was kinda like "Dont confuse me with the truth, man...my mind is made up!!! Grrrr!
I hope some day God opens your eyes to a whole lot of wonderful worship and freedom that is out there. When God nudges you in that direction, I have some advice for you:
Jump in! The waters great!!
God bless,

Rbell writes this, "But I'm asking you as a fellow believer...please be careful about judging folks such as this harshly.
And Aaron responds....
So when you are judging God's children like Casting Crowns, you are doing Satan's work...
Aaron, it sounds as if you are jealous...
It also sounds as if you want to exalt yourself above God, and tell God what is acceptable...
BTW, thanks for ruining another God honoring thread here on BB...
Another thing Satan would be proud to say he did.... -

He can't ruin it if we all just ignore him. If no one responds, he'll eventually quit. -
Answer: They are not of God.
Mt 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad. -
However, in a venue such as this I would say it would be almost impossible for everyone to ignore him as you know how Baptists are, they gotta have the last word. -
So let's just pretend that's what I did.
