CLOSING IN
Word out of the Defense Intelligence Agency and law enforcement sources has the FBI and the Department of Justice comparing notes and dates on who in the U.S. Senate received national security briefings on both the overseas terrorist prisons and the NSA overseas terrorist monitoring programs, and when those briefings took place.
SNIP
Focus of the investigation remains on the staffs of two Senators, Sen. Jay Rockefeller and Sen. Dick Durbin, as well as committee staff for the Senate Intelligence Committee and career intelligence staff detailed to U.S. Senate offices and committees.

By overseas terrorist prisons are they refering to extraordinary rendition? The outsourcing of torture to other countries in PC terms in other words?
By NSA overseas terrorist monitoring programs are they refering to illegal domestic spying in PC terms in other words?
I don't get much out of this short article other than democrats are bad for revealing illegal and unethical behavior.
Watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat, look nothin up my sleeves. Presto chango we changed the words so now everything is peachy. And the other guy is to blame. -
Releasing classified information is not only bad form for U.S. Senators, it's illegal.
No one has established that any "illegal" domestic spying has taken place, but we know the highly secret NSA eavesdropping program on calls going into and out of the U.S. was most certainly illegally made public. -
It was comical however watching General Hayden make a fool of himself on national television claiming that the words probable cause aren't in the fourth amendment. He said something like this..."take it from me (an expert) if there is one amendment we at the NSA are aware of it's the fourth".
In other words trust us we're the government if we say those words aren't in the fourth amendment or that amendment doesn't even exist you better believe it. Well, I don't trust the government especially when they can't lie any better than that.
How do you know that it was a democrat or "lefty" anyway, it could have been someone in the administration leaking it.
These guys have been so bent on the idea of gaining Total Information Awarenesson everyone that they have left no stone unturned to get it starting with sneak and peek in the patriot acts, national ID's, biometrics, iris scans, digital face recognition scanners, cameras everywhere, dna samples at traffic stops, on and on and on.
Just look at all the ways they want to gain information on us and about us. Why is it such a stretch of the imagination to think they would be above illegal spying?
They want and are setting up a total surveillance Orwellian big brother state in America thanks to their Goldstien Usama CIA asset. I'm not going to defend this unAmerican activity just because a "lefty" makes a statement I don't like about the emperor. This is a republic where people have rights not a monarchy where the king makes the rules as he goes along and can declare whole sections of the constitution void to suit his wants. -
My money is and always has been on Jay Rockefeller with Durbin as a close second.
If they did it, they should be prosecuted. -
Who ever broke the law and can be convicted in a court of law for doing so ought to be sentenced to jail as far as I'm concerned. Even George Bush. But the chances of any of it happening are are slim to none, imho.
I'd say let the courts decide but they are so corrupt themselves from being bribed and lobbied by the money powers I doubt they would or could. I just can't bring myself to defend either side of such a grossly corrupt government. -
Carpro,
Next time Texas wants to send us a President, please dont. Lyndon and George are enough for one lifetime. -
Why should any govt business be classified in a theoretically free country???????

Because lives are at stake, and we are at war. There is an Intelligence Whistleblower's Act that specifically provides for suspected illegal or unconstitutional activity to be examined by the other branches of government without publicly exposing it; whoever leaked this could have followed the law, but instead substituted their judgements for those who have been elected. The law was even constructed at the insistence of Democrats. They are lawbreakers of the worst kind. Not only have they (I assume there is more than one leaker) seriously impaired operational intelligence, but they have exposed all of us to more 9/11's -- and subverted the law at the same time.

What does Kentucky have to offer in what respect? There is no one from our state in a real leadership position in Washington, hence no leadership, just like Texas.
-
A lot of Texans wish George was still governor.
He did a good job, and didn't embarass us, unlike the current froot loop. (among other things, called a reporter a filthy name on camera, not realizing the red light meant that it was on)
He apparently isn't doing as well in Washington, but the town has a way of corrupting people.
I'd take him back. -
-
Don't think he can run for governor, again.
-
He won't need to. By then, Texas will be part of Meheeko.
-
We do need to get the borders secured, enforce our immigration laws in every possible way, take a fresh Constitutional look at birthright citizenship, and stop supporting illegal residents with public funding. -
That should prove to be a real fight indeed considering the agreements made to eliminate national borders.

We are at war because Bush'es bosses want to rule the world.
