I will do my patriotic duty and teach the children of those who are gone to Iraq and continue to stand against traitors like yourself. One does not have to be in the military to be patriotic, and spouting the enemies propaganda is not patriotic. If my nation decides they need me, I will go to war and not to Canada like so mant of your traitorous friends.

    1. You assume too much.

    2. You are a self righteous Arminian. Every Arminian is at least a little self righteous about their free will decision for the Lord.

    3. I'll pass...I think I would rather recieve counseling from OBL than from you...

God called me to be a teacher. He called others to be soldiers. Wasn't my calling...but if I am needed, I won't be heading for the Northern border like many of your teasonous buddies. I'll put you down as 1 vote for teason.

    1. That is counsel from OBL rather than you. He at least is honest about where he stands.

    2. I only call those who are traitors, traitors.

    3. I am glad we finally have an understanding about where I am coming from.

God called me to preach but I still spent 12 years serving my country. But, you do have an excuse as no one can teach those kids in your absence so I see your point...

Thank you for your service that was honorable. It is sad to see you tarnish that honor by spouting off the propaganda of the enemy. If my nation needs me, I will be there and not in Canada.

Darken in 1 vote for you having no honor and traitor.

Joseph is fine with other people dying in the lost war in Iraq, he just won't go himself. Seems he is too much of a coward to put his own butt on the line.

Well, we've moved from discussing CNN's actions to attacking each other. Sounds like the "Christian" thing to do!

    We're really making progress here.

We are staying with the subject, it's about folks feeling CNN betrayed the US by showing that footage. Something about the truth that hurts us when it's not in line with our thinking or perspective. The attacks on CNN are the same as the attacks on each other.

No, I'm not saying that I'm sick of the situation (even though I am). I'm just tired of seeing the results of the media's fascination with blood and bodies. I think it is entirely possible for the news to be reported, even accurately, without the gore. Is all the news good? No. But bad news can be reported without pictures of bodies lying in the streets or pools of blood.

Also, keep in mind that Joe American 18 who joins the military knows that that's one of the options. Soldiers are soldiers to fight in wars. That's their job, and they know that going in. Back when I was in, I knew that was a possibility. Every soldier knows that. You hope that it doesn't come to war, but the soldier's job is to go. If Joe American 18 doesn't want to go to war, they don't need to join the Service.

The American military is to defend America and not go fight in any war we can find. Do you believe their being there is making us any safer? It is also the commander and chief's job to make sure he is not wasting the human assets we give him to defend our country. Are you sure none of these lives are being wasted? When benefit do we get for the lives we are loosing?

Why don't we take them from there and use them to seal up our borders?

    Hello Everyone,

First, I would hope some would take a deep breath and remember what forum you are on. I know emotions over such can get heated but the same can be said without personal attacks.

    THE PROBLEM IS THIS!

    A) The story covers the killing of an American soldier, from the enemies perspective!! I heard the commentary and it was indeed pathetic, as seemed gleefully told by the CNN commentator. It was not done in such a manner as,"please be for warned, this footage shows an American soldier, one or our boys...." etc etc. Not to mention they used footage as given them by our enemies. Something I don't believe would have ever occurred decades ago.

If you watch film footage, some very famous which we are all familiar with, of the "D-Day" landings and Normandy, you will see American soldiers go down. This is sad, but you understand the sacrifice they made for all of us. The story is told from our perspective with hopes of success etc. This CNN story is in no way reminiscent to such as that.

    B) It is just another example of how the liberal news, such as CNN, significantly portrays the war. They seldom ever speak of the good things which has been accomplished. In addition, there is little reporting of enemy setbacks or loses.

    C) This film footage absolutely encourages more attacks on our Boys! There is no arguing this. Terrorists are simply as effective as they are, in these days, because of the constant and immediate news coverage they receive. They live for the footage and understand such will eventually wear down the American resolve. We would have never won WWI or WWII with such coverage as this. It is significantly why the Vietnam war turned out as it did.

To say this is newsworthy and thus why such should be reported is pathetically weak. Who doesn't know American soldiers are dying abroad or in any war? But to report such from the enemies perspective, with film footage as provided by the enemy, and as matter-of-fact, is outrageous. It truly shows some networks/people care more about their reporting/ideology than necessarily Americans or America. Reporters used to trod the mud right along the
American Soldier in reporting the story. Now some choose to set up neutrally, report both sides equally, and at times thankfully use enemy footage!

Wow! Is that what you would call a good Christian example because it's not what I would!
This is exactly the rhetoric as the extreme far left spew. What an outrageous statement irrespective of who the President is, be he Democrat or Republican. Maybe you meant to say it was more "stable" as a country? Because Saddam would kill anyone including their families who opposed him! Surely you don't think that was better?

A day is coming when people such as Saddam will be selling WMD's to anyone but especially our enemies! It has nothing to do with party affiliation or personality as shown under the Clinton Presidency. It came to the forefront under Bush with the killing of thousands of Americans and destruction of the Twin Towers. You should be praying Iraq turns out well for us and their people. As such would truly be a blessing for all involved and will prove immeasurable for America!

LeBuick everyone appreciates your service but there is no reason to attack someone who did not actually serve. Especially when they seem very supportive. I could understand attacking someone who simply deplores the military but on the other hand rejoice in all the freedoms/benefits they have in America.

My family has a long history of service as indeed I was born on a base. When I was younger they asked me to choose a different road, which I did. But I/we have always been completely supportive for our Military and personnel. In addition, please show where Joseph or any citizen has sent other kid's to fight for him! Our men and women volunteer for service and go where they are told to go. They are heroes for such and I applaud them.:applause:

I will continue to support them and such professions as police/fire etc! I will continue to redicule such as CNN diplayed.

    Take Care, Ralph

Let me make this clear that a two year old could understand it:

I don't admire in any way OBL. I do, however, acknowledge that he is at least honest about where he stands whereas, you are not.
