Well seeing I'm not an avid coffee drinker (some are chain coffee drinkers same as smokers)... I have a cup of Joe during my devotions each morning... Not BlackSick... One cup with a tasty creamer mixed in my cup of Joe toddy... Now that's Coffee!... Brother Glen
I start at 530 AM with a cup, have a 12 oz cup in the car, & another one at 930,one at 11AM & like that through the day.....generally black.......and I'm diabetic so.....LOL.
And you complain about other Coffee drinkers?... Juan Valdez!... You!... Your Donkey (excuse me burro)... And your bags of coffee beans hit the road!... RoflmaoRoflmaoRoflmao... Brother Glen (Sorry I lost it)
Its unusual that you bring that up... I was talking to a fellow member of another church of our faith at a special meeting... I'm only relating to what he said and if it is the truth it is between him and God... He didn't have any reason to lie and I don't recall how the conversation came up... Anyway he was visited by the deacons of his church at his home and they had him open the refrigerator door... Why he had no idea?... You know what was in it?... Beer!... Not just a few a lot!... Instead of asking him about it they brought it up in conference and accused him of being a drunk... I know he was from Kentucky and that is not to slight any of those brethren from there... Anyway!... On the accusation he produced in conference a statement from his doctor that there was a reason he drank beer and it was a medical reason because of a medical condition... They made a judgment call and did not follow scripture guideline in bringing up a fellow believer before the church... The charges were dropped and he still attended... Brother Glen
I would have a screaming cow if my church did that to me!
I'd also ask to see their computer history.
;)
But seriously, just because I have beer in my fridge and liquor in my cabinet doesn't mean I drink it.
Beer goes into a number of my recipes including my wonderful chili and my Irish stew.
Vodka makes a wonderful vodka sauce and I have one of those tiny bottles of whisky after trying out a new BBQ recipe (which I didn't like so I'm not sure what to do with the bottle but I'm glad I only bought the little bottle.
:)
What computer history?... This was many moons ago!... I agree and have heard that many spirits (liquid that is) is used in cooking but my wife who is a great cook won't use any of it... Don't you love those rum balls at Christmas?... Brother Glen
When my wife and I was a newly married couple my father and uncle stopped by and both noticed a bottle of whisky on the counter. That BBQ recipe excuse has been around awhile...Laugh (just kidding... and we were really making BBQ sauce with Southern Comfort, but I don't think they believed us).
It's totally not.
Even taking a jar of spaghetti sauce and pouring it into a pan where I cooked a little garlic in some olive oil and then added some red wine and cooked until it was reduced brings the sauce to a new level.
Then mussels in wine with garlic?
Oh my yum!!
