Hi everyone,
On 4th of July, I went shopping with Mom and ate at CC's Restuarant (pizza place) for lunch. I had a great time, and I bought a new T-Shirt from the Christian bookstore that has America with the US Flag on it and it has the Scripture at the bottom of the Flag (John 1:16). I am going to wear it this coming Friday at work for "casual day".
I was woken up at 6:30 AM this morning to get ready and eat breakfast, then my uncle and aunt took us to the family reunion near Lake Okeechobee. We saw pastures on the way up there with horses and far off, a Seminole Indian village (including a cow pen, which reminded me of Pahokee!). We finally reached the cabin, where some family members are there. One of them is cooking bar-be-que ribs and chicken for us to eat. Later, other family members (including my brother and his wife) arrived with food, just like us. We all had fellowship, ate good food, and sang church hymns together. Mom signed for me during the sing...and we had two times a quartet group (my uncle and my brother sang both times in quartets). Some people also took pictures of the reunion, including us singing church hymns like "Because He Lives" and other good songs.
GOOD NEWS: Micah's mom, Nancy Rector, also arrived with her boys to our reunion, and she said that MICAH IS IN REMISSION!!! I am so happy that this young teenager is free of cancer!
His grandma, my Aunt Dot, couldn't contain herself she was so happy.
Nancy told me that she cried the way up to our reunion from the doctor visit for Micah. I can tell my Uncle Gene is praising God by the look on his face. <smile> Micah had chemo before and was in cancer treatment for a while...now he's in remission!
We then gathered up the food, and went on our way home a couple of hours later....we stopped to get a drink on the ride home....and then we arrived in our area.
I had a GREAT TIME!
Tommorrow, I am going to Sunday School to meet the Singles again (and will ask about the opportunity to help do the website for them).
Please keep praying for me on my job, and everything else in my life.
Thanks!
God bless,
Nancy
