GOOD MORNING! Well, not quite but love the US Mountain time zones!
Just popping in briefly as we;ve had a little bit of a hectic day here. Ran the bride to the airport so she could fly to LA - not coming back 'til Sunday night, so twill be a lonely time here.
Then, counseling a couple for an upcoming wedding, 3 hours doing bookkeeping at the wife's clinic (man I hate quarterly Workman's Comp, Unemployment, 941, sales taxes) and then a wedding at 7 tonight in the park.
And its thundering and ugly right now, only an hour or so from the wedding.
Will stop by for some Calli "Night" Herbal Beverage. (Instead of Green tea base with 24 added herbs, it is camomile so very restful.)
But just getting started. Haven't even visited any other forum - can you imagine how nice it is to just come by and say "Hey" and NOT worry about who is saying what about whom on the BVT or General or Theology!
Makes me keep my foot up. The MD's would be proud of this place!

Brother Barnabas, I remember a Jack Wyrtzen of many years ago,,back in the fifties, connected with Word of Life.....Is that the same camp?
Oh and yes, Nos da is good night in Welsh, and Noswaith da is used earlier in the day......hen friind.....(old friend)

I am so glad you like coming here to relax. It is meant to be a refuge from the debate threads and the outside world.
And, of course, with the food and drinks all being free and virtually free of calories (pun intended) it is even more of a treat to visit!

Yes Sir! It is him, and the camp the same. Although Jack Wyrtzen has gone to be with the Lord about 9 years now, the work is going on for the glory of God. Just imagine, there are Bible Institutes and Camps in over 48 countries around the world!

Let's see. For a bit there were 8 kids in this house, five the rest of the day. I was watching the baby like a hawk because she is getting ready for open heart surgery and I didn't want her exploding or anything. Don't know how staring at her intensely helped, but...
Then the 4 yr. old boy couldn't get his belt off to go potty and didn't come for help until the last minute. He wet himself WHILE I was helping him with the belt and it ran down to his shoes. Keep in mind he's the only boy, and his mother hadn't sent extra clothes! Fortunately I found some stuff that could pass in the closet.
We had severe storms so couldn't go outside.
Then lunch was another fun time. I made chicken, mashed potatos, and peas. One would only eat chicken. One would only eat potatos. Another claimed an allergy to peas. (the allergy went away when I showed her you could pop them and then eat them) Another insisted that his mommy woulda let him have cookies for lunch.
And SOME of these were MY kids! ROFL
I did go to the store today and get some decent family movies for cheap. Yay!
Oh, and bought a chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and just got done with a slice of it and a glass of cold milk. I'll pay for drinking milk later, but until then...YUM!

Been a busy day for Blackbird--VBS this week--Kingdom Caper---plus Youth VBS at nite---but if I told ya'll I was busy, busy, busy--ya'll wouldn't believe me!!!
Gina--as your doctor there is something Blackbird needs to tell ya---remember when Blackbird prescribed a sleepin' pill for ya?? Well, turns out it was a new form of "No Doze!" It wasn't Blackbird's fault--its the new receptionist he hired!! Turns out she can't read Pig Latin--Blackbird's official medical language for prescription orders!
There are slight side effects---inablility to blink your eyes--inability to daydream(thats why Blackbird stays away from that medicine he prescribes for other people)---you will be a insomniac until the medicine wears off in about 15-20 years!!!! Now, I'll have to prescribe a pill to keep you from becomeing a "ill pot" from all the lack of sleep your other pill causes! And by the way---you are running up quiet a bill running in and out of Blackbird's clinic!!!! Just thought I'd mention that to ya!!! Its no big deal--just pay as you come and go!!!

Well, I do have one Vicaden (sp) left. The doctor gave me two the other week. I took one and it knocked me on my pillow. I'm saving the other one for the next major tmj episode.
I dropped off a bushel of corn and potatos with your wife last week. How much more do I owe you?

I HATE UNITED AIRLINES.
Bunch of flights delayed or canceled because of some rain in Chicago. So my wife and daughter both flew into Denver then sat and sat and sat.
Grrrr.
Finally the airline paid them for dinner/motel and fly in the morning. Of course, my wife was the speaker at 9 am at the Anaheim Convention Center to a small group of her peers (she is getting an award on Saturday at the main conference with 5000+ there).
Airline also gave her a phone card to call the Anaheim Hilton and try to rearrange schedule. But the "girls" are just enjoying a relaxing night at the Red Lion in Denver.
We have choices to fly through Salt Lake or Denver and the last 3 times in Denver we have been stranded and had to get a motel. Already have our August trip to Notre Dame scheduled on Delta thru SLC and Cincinnati.
I HATE UNITED.
