In honor of Sue's return and my getting 90% of my painting done, I have brought in a half gallon of Blue Bell's Great Divide icecream. Both sugar cones and cake cones are on the counter!

    Enjoy!

At least you survived it, MC! :applause: Did the kids? :D

IT'S DONE!!!!!!! The bathroom is completly painted! I'm so excited, I'm about to go soak in my pretty bathroom. It's so much nicer than that nasty dark blue wallpaper that used to be in there.

I may just have another icecream cone to celebrate with!

To-day was a holiday in most of Canada, and I took full advantage and did very little except laze about and enjoy the day.

There isn't must to post on either, so I may take the evening off as well.

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Good morning all:

Just sitting here at the computer with a cup of coffee sitting by the mousepad, and going through emails. This weekend, for some reason, seemed to go on forever. Vivian got sent home early on Friday and she had yesterday off...now she's got 3 days of 10 hours each (she's off Friday because of my iron infusion and chemo). We didn't get a whole lot done, though she did get started on making candles again. We're behind on filling orders, and now we're nearly caught up. She has to get ready for the Halloween/Thanksgiving/Fall/Christmas seasons. We've got a good start on a couple of those already.

Don't know if I mentioned it or not, but, my sister DID get custody of the girls, including the two youngest ones. Her ex husband backed off because of the report from the psychologist and because he was told by his attorney he really didn't have much of a chance of winning. It's been so very hard on my sister, and I hate to say it, being her big brother and the girls' uncle, I feel very angry towards him for dragging them all through this just for spite. But, I know that Christ was done worse, and I have to keep reminding myself that this is a sinful world. Please, keep my ex BIL in prayer. If God could get ahold of his heart and open his eyes towards some of the things that are going on that have caused all of the problems, I believe he would be able to be used in a great way.

In any case, my sis is back in Illinois now, trying to get the girls ready for school. They've got physicals to go through, and they've got several other things they need to do before they can go.

Hope everyone has a great day. We're supposed to be up near 100 again, so that's going to be "fun".

Be good, Be kind, Be careful

I was determined today to stop by BEFORE I left the house :D

Tony! Good news about your sister's custody.

MK -- no kids yet. We have open house next Monday and kids come back on Wednesday. Today we have meetings all morning again! Yeah!

Catch y'all later. I give blood at 3:30, so it will be late again before I get back.

    Good morning all,

I hope I can post this morning. It was weird yesterday. The CH was the only place I could NOT post...

It has cooled down here considerably. Low 80's for the high today. Of course we will have thunderstorms with it, but I'll take the bad with the good to get some relief from the heat!

Tony: Good news about your sister. Are they living in Peoria?

Cindi: Congrats on your bathroom. Any pictures for us?

Bitsy: I dislike meetings and committees both. I feel your pain.

Jim: Glad you enjoyed your Civic Holiday!

Dan: Good to see you back and 'single' posting!

    The donut man cometh...

    Good Morning!

How about if the cinnamon roll lady comes? I put a dozen on the counter, not counting the two I am currently consuming. :D

No bathroom pics just yet. I'm going to wait until T gets up the towel racks. That'll probably be this weekend sometime. I didn't think to take before pics of the ugliness so there isn't anything to compare to.

Cassie pointed out that now the vainity doesn't match. I had already told T I was considering stripping it and painting it white. You know what happens when two people agree and the top guy doesn't disagree? You end up with a new project! I'm going to wait for a bit before starting on it though. It's too hot and I'm too busy getting the kids in school.

Jenna's teacher is expecting a baby. In October. This is the third time I've been stuck with a pregnant teacher. It's always such a pain in the neck. At least this one is only planning on being out for six weeks.

We find out what Chris' schedule is going to be like tonight. He's kinda excited about going to middle school. I can't believe two of my children are halfway through school. :(

Today I will catch up on everything I let go this weekend while finishing the bathroom. I've already started the laundry, the dishes, cleaned up my room and gone to Walmart. :p I also have one extra kid and should get a second one in about a half hour. Anyone who wants to volunteer at the menagerie is quite welcome. LOL!

Going to see what the dancing thread is all about.

    See ya later!

Glad it's quiet in here! No one can hear me slamming things around.

    Not helping.

I'm mad and I'm going to bed! Maybe things will look better in the morning or I'll be able to get ahold of the guilty party instead of ranting at the innocents.

    Night all.

    Good morning all:

mk...just chill a bit. Things might look better today.

Gayla...the iron infusions/chemo are being given because I'm have acute chronic anemia. My blood cells are 1/4 to 1/3 the size they need to be. The chemo is because they haven't ruled out leukemia yet as a cause for this for some odd reason or another. That's this coming Friday morning at 10 AM central. Lord willing, there won't have to be any chemo this time...depending on the blood work.
Sue, no...my sis is living in Pekin. I believe her girls (the two oldest) will be attending Pekin High this year. I hope she makes it there.

It's a warm 78 degrees here...very humid. The moon is full, and the owls are making their calls in the night. It's strange seeing the moon over the treetops. It's very eerie, and my wife shivers every time she sees it. I don't know why.

Anyhow, I digress. Ya'll have a great day.

    Good morning all,

The skies are gray and the rain is coming down. It is a gentle rain though and we need it. Rain is forecast for the next couple of days.

I'm fixing sausage, eggs, and biscuits for breakfast. Help yourself.

    Time for coffee,

    Good Morning Everybody!,
We had to have Sean at the hospital by 6:30 this morning, and my wife just called to say that they took him into surgery at 8:30.
I'm watching the other 4 grandkids while everybody is at the hospital. They've all had their baths, gotten dressed, and had breakfast. Now they're outside playing.
Needless to say, this is the first chance I've had to get online today.
I'll pop back in when we have any news about Sean.

Sean came thru Surgery just fine!!

WOW!!!, That was fast. I sure thought the surgery would take longer then 30 minutes.

My wife just called from the hospital, Sean is out of surgery and came through it just fine. He's in Recovery right now. The surgeon said that everything went very well.

Sean has a little mohawk hair style right now.

He should be in the hospital between 24 to 36 hours barring any complications.

Thank you Jesus!! :praying: Thanks also to everybody who held Sean and the family up in Prayer.

Praise the Lord for Sean's progress!

You know, Rob, that bath the kids took this morning is going to do them no good if they are outside getting dirty again!! :D

    Good Morning Everyone!

Tony, I'm trying to chill, really I am. ;) I know there are worse things happening right here on this board than what I'm dealing with. But that is head knowledge and hasn't reached my heart yet.

Right now I'm waiting on the guilty one to call me back.

Not much else going on, except my phone keeps ringing. (and it's never the one I need to talk too)

    I'll be around.....
