Sue - I'm running out but google "Woman's Day Make-Ahead Gravy" and it will be the first one up. It's really quite easy but a bit time consuming - you take 3-4 lbs. of turkey wings (I got only 2 for that weight), and 2 onions quartered and put them in a roasting pan, baking them for an hour and 15 minutes. Then you put them in a pot with 6 cups of chicken broth, 3/4 cup chopped carrots, thyme, salt, pepper and a cup of water that you put in the roasting pan to scrape up all the little bits. You boil this for an hour and a half and then that's all I got done yesterday. Tomorrow morning, I'll put flour in another 2 cups of chicken broth, add it along with butter and I can't remember what else and then heat it up. It makes a lot of gravy and it's absolutely delicious gravy!! Just like if you make it fresh - but it makes way more than you could normally.
OK - I'm off to take DS to the dentist for a filling.
I'll post again later.
