Merry Christmas, everyone!! I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Our little family celebration went well--we all enjoyed ourselves and ate way too much! My parent's celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary today, and we all had fun remembering and celebrating with them. And my 92 year old grandmother was able to come to the party, so that made it extra special!

Now if we can just get thru the wedding of my son on Saturday...

    Have a blessed day!

    Merry
    Christmas, Everyone!

The presents are wrapped and under the tree. All the relatives have been visited. Time for:

    Hot Chocolate!

The menagerie keeper deserves it even if it is midnight cause I haven't ___________ (fill in the blank with your imagination) all day long, even though I wanted too. :D

See ya'll again when it's daylight. I hope my turkey has thawed by then. :tonofbricks:

This is not a double post!

I can't help it if you folks is mean and make your kids wait until it is actually daylight to open presents. I bet you made 'em wait till after breakfast too! :D

    Merry Christmas Morning Everyone!

There is ham and biscuits and cinnamon rolls on the counter for folk like me, who got up early and opened presents before the coffee had even perked.

All is peace and joy at my house, except it is pouring down rain and Jenna can't enjoy her new bike. I'm sure the rain coat will come out of the closet soon. I've told her that neither she nor the bike are made of sugar and won't melt! She's not been persuaded yet. I can't figure it out, why when I was a kid a little rain never stopped me!

Instead, Cassie is watching Ice Age on tv and dreaming of just how much she can get in exchange for all the money she's collected the last couple of days and Chris and Jenna are sinking each other's BattleShips! It is so nice that they are all old enough to play board games without frustration and tears. Santa brought quite a few!

The turkey is on and I have a book to read, so......

    See ya later!

I don't remember if I ever read how old the kids are - could you tell me? It helps me to picture them. LOL!!

We had a great morning - Lauren (16) got her huge colored pencil set (she's an artist) and Nicole (14) was VERY surprised with her new cell phone. The two girls also got a lot of clothes and their stockings were stuffed with stuff for them to take to the youth retreat on Thursday. Robby (6) got a remote control car, walkie-talkie headsets, games for the Leapster L-max, a Matchbox car racetrack and a few other things. Joanna (will be 4 on New Year's Eve) got pretty much all Cinderella stuff - a backpack, game for the Leapster, Barbie, game, etc. So they're watching Jo play with a Cinderella DVD game right now but Lauren is hovering to play the Little House on the Prairie DVDs they got (season 7). LOL! I need to clean up from breakfast and the unwrapping and call my dad to tell him when to come over to open the gifts to/from him (he gives me money to shop for the kids). We'll then go to my in-laws at 4, open their gifts and then my dad will come and we'll have dinner. Should be nice!!

Again, Merry Christmas all!! I pray that you have a wonderful day!

    I got an unwanted EXTRA!

I knew I was getting sick Christmas Eve, so we opened our presents then. Christmas morning after all four of my kids had called, I 'took to my bed' and didn't get up all day. I NEVER do that! I just realized that I haven't even eaten anything since Christmas Eve!

I slept with my oxygen and used my Nebulizer every four hours plus my regular medicine. If I can't get in to see the doctor this morning, I will go to the ER. I need some antibiotics to knock this Bronchitis attack which is aggravating the COPD.

I have coughed so hard that my ribs are sore and I have a splitting headache. I plan to spend today in bed also (I don't want pneumonia again) as soon as I get some medicine.

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday! I will get back on when I can. This wheezing is driving me crazy (short trip).

Anyone want to volunteer to bring me some hot chicken noodle soup and a cup of tea?

    HAGD!

    Good Morning Everyone,

Miss SUE has an extra present she wants to return, quickly. You were sleeping so I put the Tea, and Chicken Noodle Soup on your nightstand. I'm praying you can get in to you doc, get some meds, and get going again.

I hope everybody had a beautiful Christmas, and got everything they wanted.

Today is going to be an easy day. Nothing to return(perish the thought!!)

I brought in Eggs, Pancakes, Biscuits & Sausage Gravy, and Bacon. Enjoy.

    Time to do chores.

    Chores????

You can't do chores on the day after Christmas! This day is for resting!!

Hehe, Jenna got up whining about have to do chores today and I hadn't even thought about house cleaning. This house is as clean as it needs to be right now with the expection of a bit of packaging that is on my bedroom floor and a few of the big pots I used yesterday that won't fit in the dishwasher. The kids can't do those anyway. Crazy child! I don't know what she was thinking.

Sue, I was worried about you yesterday when you didn't check in all day. :( I'll pray you can get your antibiotics and this bout will be over quickly!

Ann, Cassie is 14, Chris will be twelve on Jan. 5, and Jenna is 8 (for the next 6 weeks). Twelve? Did I just say my baby boy will be TWELVE? I may have a panic attack. One more year and I'll have two teenagers in the house. Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya'll have a good day, I'll be around.

Unfortunately the house, laundry, and meals don't do themselves. I'll rest, I promise as soon as everything is finished.

Sue - I'm sorry you're not well!! Surprisingly everyone here is - I don't think we've EVER had a Thanksgiving AND Christmas where no one was sick!!

So, I think today I'll take the girls shopping at Old Navy. We got some gift cards for them and they want to spend that money - I know the stores will be crowded but, it will be an experience!!

I'm also dealing with a migraine again - we lost our power during the night and the kids each have white noise in their rooms and nightlights - so Joanna woke at 3:30 crying because it was dark and quiet and I brought her into my bed. It took her over 2 hours to fall asleep and in that time, Robby kept waking up too. I had to sleep in the queen bed with a little one who takes up the WHOLE bed so I didn't get good sleep. Maybe I'll take Imitrex later after I get back.

Have a wonderful day everyone!! Sue, I hope you get better!!

Hello, everyone. We had a quiet Christmas with my husband's family. I confess I'm ready for normal life to resume because I enjoy my normal life. It's good to see our children. Three of them were with us for Christmas.

Everyone get well or stay well! :flower:

    Thanks all,

I am on Prednisone, Z-Pac, yucky cough syrup, oxygen, and orders to do NOTHING. "No cooking", he said. Yeah right... My oxygen is at 93%, not too good, but not dangerously low - yet. There are no symptoms to acerbation so I have no way of knowing when I'm going to do it until I can't breathe, then it's off to the ER because it's too late to do anything here.

Oh well, Brent is good at opening cans, making scrambled eggs, soup, waffles, etc. I don't think anyone will starve. I'm not even hungry. I ate some soup at noon - first thing I had eaten since Christmas Eve afternoon.

I am going to lay down (if I can stop coughing long enough). Be good, stay safe and well. I'll stop in when I can.

    Love y'all,

Yikes Sue!! You sound like DH when HE gets sick - but he's never been on oxygen!! Definately take it easy!! Chinese and pizza deliver to get you through 2 days so you don't have to cook then, and then a couple more days of whatever in the house will work just fine.

((HUGS)) I wish I were closer so I could bring you some food!! :(

I'm sorry you're sick, Sue! Wish I could help.

I'm also on prednisone and Z-pac for a sinus infection I've had since July that just won't go away. I asked the doc to bring out the big guns and get me well for Christmas and the wedding. I'm feeling better after 5 days, so I guess I'll make it. lol

    Hope you feel better, Sue!!

Good morning! The Lord bless you and give you peace. We had a little snow and it looks refreshing. My daughter went to Green Bay, Wisconsin for Christmas, and the first thing the children said was, "Look mum. No snow!" Living in Florida and now Georgia, they wanted to see snow. If only we could find that mind of a child half our problems would dissolve, wouldn't they?

Cheers, and be happy in Him, alway,

    Jim

Good morning all and thank you for your prayers. Keep them coming please. Sometimes this takes 3-4 weeks to get over.

I had a 'bad' turn last night. I had an allergic reaction to that yucky cough medicine and broke out in hives and my heart rate was very rapid.

I dumped it down the sink immediately and went back to normal after about a very scary 6 hours.

I am allergic to antihistimines. I called the pharmacy and they said there were no antihistimines in the cough syrup but there was another ingredient hydro 'something' and the properties were quite similar.

Anyway, I am alive, I just don't feel like it. I slept with oxygen all night and it helped quite a bit. The yucky cough syrup almost killed me, but it certainly got rid of the cough (at least for the night).

Ann: Good idea. I'm not hungry at all, but the family will be eating Chinese tonight!

Brent is being a very good nurse. He makes sure my water glass is always full (must be with these meds) and 'escorts' me to the bathroom door lest I get dizzy and fall.

I go to an ear, nose, throat specialist Jan. 15th about the dizziness I've suffered with for months - and the meds I started taking yesterday - you guessed it - make me dizzy!

I will be on the couch or in the recliner today.

I hope y'all are feeling chipper and enjoy the 'holiday break'.
