Awww, you guys are so sweet, even if you DO blame me for everything!

Today has been nothing exciting. I ate some cereal, called the IRS, and took some ground beef out to make meatballs with for the sketti tonight.

I may eat a Halls cough drop later. Don't get all excited...I might change my mind.

Is this a boring day or is it a boring day?!

Well Gina, at least you were bored at home. I got to sit in a docs office from 9:15 until noon.

Poor Jenna, she gets to do a round of antibiotics. She hasn't had one in probably a year. But she has a nice upper respiratory infection that was trying to affect (effect?) her ear. She'll probably get another day out of school.

Good morning ya'll! Where is everybody in this nice crisp morning? I already had breakfast - honey sandwich. I put a light coat of honey between two slices of bread and push it down with a mug of unsweetened decaf. Its not bad. The temp here in Queen City is 21 degrees but will climb up to 40 during the day. Today I will be trying to call the various departments to notify them of our change of address. Last week I spent hours with the people in charge, and at times I wonder how on earth did they ever qualified for the job they now have....

Have a nice day ya'll! :type:

Lady Sue, sorry for double posting!

Good Morning Bro. Barnabas! Morning Everyone!

I'm up listening to T and Jenna hack, snuff and just plain be miserable. Jenna's meds aren't working fast enough and T is being stubborn about going to the doc as usual. I figure he'll end up in the emergency room before the weekend is over. I'm thinking about calling his mother. Sometimes you have break out the big guns!

Once T gets off to work I have to find out if the vet is open. My poor puppy that we've been battling red mange in and thought was getting some better is now experiencing massive hairloss. I'll probably have to make a hard decision on this one as it is getting hard to justify the resources being spent on an animal that is not getting better. I was warned that sometimes this is incurable. :(

After that, it'll be home to do school with two instead of one. I'll be calling Jenna's school and having them get together her work. I don't think she'll even get to go tomorrow. Bless her heart, she is really miserable.

And sometime today I need to spend a few minutes doing general chores.

Yep, its gonna be one of those days. bleck.

    Good Morning Everybody,

Mother nature finally loosened her icy grip on this area. It is 23 outside right now headed for a high of 31. It feels like spring out there. We've been 17 days below freezing this time.

It's all your fault Cuz!! Today Autumn is back at school but Jack [middle grandson] is home with a stomach ache. Brenda is still fighting her migraine, but seems to be a bit better.

Got some quick running-around to do today then everything should be done.

Going to have some hot chocolate and enjoy the warmer weather.

Honey sandwich? Haven't tried that alone, but peanut butter and honey is good, especially if you spread it on a graham cracker and have it with a cup of cold milk. Yum!

Right now it's 7 degrees outside, with a forecast high of -4. The weather out here is so messed up that it's hardly worth using the weather service as a guide!

I slept in until about 30 minutes ago. Now I've gotta start prepping dinner. I think I'm coming down with something nasty, or just getting worse in general. Or maybe I just really needed almost 14 hours of sleep.

Morning ya'll. We have a slightly cold morning here in Queen City, but promised to go up to 56-58 degrees by noon. Lenke and I ordered a Stearn & Foster Grenoble queen size mattress from Sears. They had a 50% discount, plus another 10% sales promotion for the week. They supposed to deliver it this afternoon between 4:15 and 6:15 PM. This morning we got a call from the delivery guys at 7:00 AM that they may be a little earlier.... They woke us up to tell us that they may be a little earlier than 4:15 PM this afternoon. Nice guys. I only hope they will come at all. :)

Have a nice day ya'll. :type:

At least you won't be late for breakfast with a telephone call at 7:AM.

Early or late delivery or not at all. Doesn't that make you pleased that God is never too early, late or not at all in His delivery of blessings? I could use that this morning to write the devotional at All Other Christians forum.

It is mild here to-day as well. I could actually go outdoors with only one coat on.....

    Cheers, and bless,

    Jim

I'm all moved in and nearly unpacked. I'm quite tired! I'm so glad to be home and hope I never have to move again (says the missionary LOL!)!

What a whirlwind couple of days! I'm all moved in and mostly unpacked. Unfortunately, we realized today that one of the workers cemented over our bathroom drain. That made for a very pleasant morning, let me tell you.

But we're in. That's a lot! Tomorrow our missionary friends return. When they arrive at home, they'll be welcomed with a pot of potato soup on a roaring woodstove. I've also stocked their bathroom with toilet paper. They'll be all set for a couple of days. I'm so glad to have them back!!!

Better got some more organizing done. Later I'll walk to the store and buy some oatmeal and a small restocking of my secret chocolate stash. Shhh. Don't tell the kids!

Ah, food and TP, the necessities of life!

Concerning the chocolate, good luck with that! My darling little women came up all exciting after, for some odd reason, they pulled up the cushion from the recliner and dug underneath the space between the back and padding underneath and came up with a chocolate bar.

    "Mom, look what we found!"

    :BangHead:

I swear these kids are gonna all get jobs sniffing out suspicious packages for homeland security or something!

Good morning ya'll! Hope you had a good night sleep. Lenke tried the new matress and she slept like a lamb. It must be good, and firm, as we ordered. :) And the guys came 2 hours earlier than the projected time of delivery.

Spinach, congratulations to your moving in. Hope your tooth has gotten better, and did not hinder you in your unpacking. Lenke and I have finished our unpacking a week ago, but still have little things to do, like putting up curtains in all the rooms, getting over the garage - whch up to now was untouched. Boy, cementing over the drain in a bathroom is a major no-no. How an earth could a "professional" worker do that?

My maternal grandmother, back in Hungary, used to make delicious potato soup. She had her own garden and grew all of the ingredients to use in the soup. You just made me hundry, just by mentioning it....

    Hello everyone.
A busy time for us here. We are gradually being allowed to get things out of our daughter's former home, as and when her ex-husband allows us. Then we have to sort it all out (everything has been thrown into boxes and left, so is smelling musty after almost a year), and repacked. We will have to hire a van to transport it the 150 odd miles to her new home....
