Ground is too soft here in Eastern Ontario for snow to last. There is nothing worse than a winter with the ground unfrozen.

I don't mind the snow, but I want it cold enough to freeze the ground first. We usually have a foot or two on the ground all winter.

Cheers,

Jim

I'd love to take some of your snow. I really miss it!

I had students today wanting the heat turned up to EIGHTY and it was around 30 degrees out. They think they're freezing! I told them that I'd leave the heat off to ensure their fingers would be too cold to sneak and text during class. (but turned it up to 75, felt bad for the boogers)

Snow smoooh! We are being threatened with the stuff here too. Its a bluff!!!

It's been 10 years since we had any real accumulation. Maybe longer. We found a pic of Chris during our "purge the junk" week and he was barely taller than the deck rails that were covered with snow. He's 5' 7" now. I'll believe snow when I see it covering the front yard.

It's cold here though. I might have to put on a pair of socks and long sleeves the next time I go outside. :D

Good Afternoon Everybody,

Hey, Cuz! Good to hear from you again.

If you want snow, you can have some of ours. We've got about 2" on the ground and we're under a Winter Weather Advisory from now thru 5PM tomorrow. We're forecast 1-3" of additional snow with high winds and blowing and drifting snow. To the west of us they have a Blizzard Warning and are expecting 6-12" of snow with blowing and drifting.

Guess I'd rather have 1-3" rather then 6-12" of snow, anytime. :tongue3:

Move south Cuz. We had just enough snow on Saturday to say we had snow! By noon you couldn't have proved we'd had any! We took ourselves off to T-town (50 miles south of us) by the narrow twisty "state highway" that leads us from here to there and there was only sand on one little tiny spot and it seemed like that was probably from ice (we've had tons of rain) and not the so-called snow.

This weekend they are worrying about ice. Ice is BAAAAAAAD! We'll hope that doesn't happen, but no doubt it could. We are having problems getting out of the 30's even during the sunlight. Rain blows in just right and well, it won't be a good thing. At least it is supposed to warm up by Sunday!

Today is looking cool and clear-perfect! I'm at the Revolve Tour...think I just tried to block one of the artists. (guarding the area and working with the signing lines). I should have brought my work camera and got pics for the girls. Oh well.
Still waiting for snow! Maybe by Christmas.
