Nooooooo, Bettye!! I was teasin' ya because I, myself, don't know whether or not I'm double postin' or not---or even triple---but OTHER people on the board do know and won't tell me how so that Blackbird can have just as much fun as they seem to be havin'!!!!
Your buddy,
Blackbird
PS---there are some on the Sports forum who believe that the LSU/Oklahoma game was for "naught!"---that that game wasn't really for the championship---although they were playin' for the championship!!!

Packing a jar of dehydrated Canadian snow and cold for Dan....
It is currently -32 outside the door, with a slight, but steady north wind blowing. It is, however, 30c indoors and the fire is lovely.
Cheers,
Eskimo Pie Jim -
Ninety-nine!!
Blackbird has been checkin' his atlas(we call um "Maps" here in Mississippi!!) and there doesn't seem to be much between you and the North Pole but a barbed(bob)wire fence---and that won't keep the wind from leakin' through down on us here in Mississippi!!!!!!!
Your buddy,
Blackbird -
We need the cold and snow to keep our igloos from melting. Besides, if all our waterways didn't freeze in winter, America would be flooded, and we must defend the borders.
Cheers,
Jim
PS. Watch southerly from whence cometh your greatest fear.... -
Shoot, Jim!! Hurricanes do come in generally here in Mississippi and Louisiana from the south(Santa Ana tried but was stopped cold by Davy! Davy Crocket---King of the Wild Frontier!!)
I have smiled in the face of many a hurricane--outside---but I gotta go inside when the gauge dips down to 40 F! -
Good evening, Boy am I glad I don't double Post. Heck I have a hard time single posting.
-
And a lovely evening to all here as well. Long day and lots to do yet . . I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep.
Hey, that's kinda catchy. Might have to write a poem. -
A very pleasant morning to you all. It is wet and blustery here on the Emerald Isle and we just put our daughter and two of her friends on the plane back to the US :( .
Security was very tight, even from Dublin this morning. They were checking every bag. O the joys of modern travel.
These are always sad days in a way, but now realise that it is part of life going on. Our adult son living at home is going to Northern Ireland for a week's holiday to stay with his big brother so we will only have three children at home, will almost feel like an empty nest for us. We are taking today off of school (homeschool) and work to try and "recover" from all the excitement of the last three weeks.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday of service to our Lord! -
Late night greetings to our Irish compatriots in cyberspace.
I HOPE security will be tight flying into LAX. Big stat told that only 1 in 14 container ships coming into the West Coast was being monitored. THAT is scarey. Only the Lord knows what is coming in/out on such a scale.
Since 9.11 we in America have had a little taste of what Ireland, Israel, South Africa, Bosnia, Somalia, Indonesia et al have suffered for years. Makes our hearts and prayers go out to folks living in that fear.
Oh, well, greetings. I'm about out-of-gas so will be off to bed. Keep the home fires burning . . .
-
Oh, must add that it is 34F at this early hour, calm and clear with the moon lighting the sky brightly. Should be 50F tomorrow now that we've decided to share our cold weather with the Northeast.
Don't worry . . it will head across the Atlantic before long! :D -
Hello from the night shift!
It's 15°F, Cloudy, Feels Like 3°F
according to the local weather. -
Just a clarification - I DO NOT complain about security, just noticed it was tight this morning, more than just random bag checks.Would rather my "little" girl be safe flying and wait 5 minutes for the bags to be checked than take any chances.
Weather is even wetter and blustier than it was when I posted earlier -
Good morning all;
Diane: Thank you for looking after the Coffee House and posting for me. You did a beautiful job of relocating! They must be afraid of you...looks like there was less double posting while I was absent!
Weather is not bad here today. It is 28º and cloudy. High for today 29º with 15 mph winds. Low of 12º tonight.
Coffee, tea, hot cocoa and fresh are ready.
§hawna and I thank you again for all your prayers.

Good morning Sue! We are so happy Shawna came thorugh the surgery with flying colors. Our prayers are with her still, and we trust that she will speedily recover.
BTW, it is so nice that you can have access to the Internet while on the road. Somehow we knew that we cannot keep you away from the BB. Have a blessed time with your family, and give them a hug from us all. -
Great news about Shawna Sue! Amen and PTL!!
Roger -
Good Morning Barnabas and Roger:
Thank you again. I do not have Internet access on the road. It was a VERY quick trip. I did not get to do any visiting. I have been home since last evening.

Makes a lad shiver in his boots - if he had boots that is!
Dan - noticing that Dr. Bob double posted over night! -
So following the good Doctor's example -
Good morning All -
Sue - there was almost no one on playing games last night - with you at your daughter's place.
So my prescription:
To Shawna (glad everything went well) - no more getting sick or hospital stays!
To Sue (glad you're back home safely) - get a laptop and a cell phone - you could have been on BB with us while waiting for Shawna to get out of surgury!
Dan - incorrigible! -
Dan, with windchill factor, it did not get as cold as anticipated this morning. It was only -35. Maybe DrBob was feeling the cold and double-posted whilst shivering.
Cheers,
Jim -
Remember, to make the degree symbol
hold down the ALT key, type 167 on the keypad
(not the top row, sorry laptop holders :( )
The symbol will not show up until you let go
of the alt key.
Here is some info on other ALT funtions:
http://members.aol.com/MONT714/tutorial/ALTchrc.html
I said all that cause i want to report it being
30ºF here in central Oklahoma. Of course,
I'd forgotten the number of the ALT167º ...
