    C4k,
The Lord bless and keep you. I don't think I could handle a church plant. The Lord raises a special people for these discouraging fields. Know this, that my prayers are with you. This may sound strange, but the fact remains, we always considered Ireland the enemy and have an inbred dislike for that country. Hence, I make myself pay particular attention to praying for the people and that land. I think, living there, you will understand my history with Ireland.

Keep smiling, mate. Preach the word. Cast your bread upon the waters and it will return.

    Cheers, and God bless,

    Jim

    Good Morning!

We are waiting for the 'winter storm' to hit. Ice, sleet, and at least 3" of snow with 30 mph winds. Sounds exiting huh?

Roger: I am praying for you. The only countries I wanted to visit when I was young were Ireland and later, Germany. I lost my wanderlust. Now, I am pretty sure I will stay at home in the good old USA!

    Good Morning Watchman?

Could you lasso that storm and keep it in Kansas please? :D

I really don't mind the snow that much, but I DO mind the ice that is going to be under it!

And the winds accompanying the storm...

    Good morning all!

BB is more fun than I ever thought it would be!!

Dr. Bob - on a more serious note - after you stay up half of every night - is it possible for you to go to bed early and get right to sleep? (as you intimated that you were going to do!)

    Roger,

I will certainly make your request a matter of prayer.

Our church supports a missionary to The Gambia, a muslim country. She has been there about 10 years, and the team has been there longer than that.

To date, they have seen about six conversions.

In our day, where everyone wants to be part of a mega-church, those results seem trivial, and perhaps not worth the effort. But our Savior died for those six in The Gambia, and for the handfull that you have in Kildare - so keep on being faithful - and God will richly bless you for your service to Him.

You will one day be hearing, "Well done, though good and faithful servant!"

    Dan - your praying partner!

Thanks for all of your prayers folks. I needed it today. For the first time in over a year, due to a series of circumstances, we had no one in the service but our family. I appreciate all my our new friends here praying for us. If anyone would like our semi-regular email updates PM me and I can add you to the list. Otherwise I just appreciate your prayers in general!

Still about 0° here (C). A few clouds rolling in.

Trust you all will have a great Lord Day in your places of worship.

Good Morning Dan, Blackbird, Diane, and Roger!

Dan: You ARE quite a 'bugger'! :D

Blackbird: You send me the rain and I will send you the ice! ;)

Diane: That would be neat. I don't seem to have time to search anymore!

Roger: God is faithful and He is still in control. Check your pms.

Sorry Sue, I don't do Pecos Bill, that is the one that could lasso storms wasn't it?

You're from Kansas (Dodge City famous) and can't lasso? Tsk, tsk!

I think Pecos Bill lassoed storms and the Tazmanian Devil WAS one.

Heading out to church and will ask my prayer partners to include your mission field, Roger!

Hope you all stay warm and safe! Hubby has to go to upstate Alabama (Roger's home town) this morning. He's sold some stereo items to help pay our bills but can only deliver it to the man today. 6 hours round trip not counting unloading the car....

    See you all after church!

Praying for all this Sunday, especially with inclement weather affecting many.

It is snowing in Casper. Was 40F and cloudy when we left for SS and now (1:45) is 9 and snowing to beat the band. Think we will be fortunate to make it the few miles across town to preach this evening - maybe it'll be just the wife and I can really preach up a storm!

Preaching to family only is a "challenge" in church plants. Been there with my own kids and wife as the "congregation" and it is hard. Much harder than just regular family devotions.

Well they went and changed our forecast! Rain, rain and more rain til lunchtime tomorrow and then up in the 50's instead of 67! Jon and his friend are going to climb Stone Mountain tomorrow. Good thing they're young and healthy!

Granny, I couldn't walk 5 miles around here because of all the busy roads and this was a tiny farm community just 5 years ago! Now all the poorer folk working in Atlanta have discovered the lower cost housing and town has tripled in population in just 3 years. We just moved here about 4 1/2 years ago.

Stone Mountain is awesome. Trust they will have a good day. But need to climb it in the dark and watch the sunrise.

    NOT in a rainstorm!!

We'll save you a piece of cake Roger so sleep well!

It is beautiful, isn't it Dr. Bob? I spent many summers camping there as an older teen and then we took our grown kids when they were little. We go there pretty often now.

Here's a close up of the carving on Stone Mountain for those who have no idea what we're talking about. A Greyhound Bus could park on the horses mane.
