Morning again to all now that you are stirring!
Jim's interview - 2.00 my time - will be praying.
Does anybody have any idea's for object lessons? Our Teen Time (age 10-15 or so) is tonight and I am stuck for a good object lesson. Need something using stuff around the house. Been to a few sites and have used some of those in the past. Most of these kids are lost, but have some Bible knowledge coming up through our Kids Klub---HELP!!

Thanks for the prayers Roger! YES! Object lessons! Remote controls, Toys, Bowl of Candy, etc. Check out this site. I used God's Super Bowl for Wednesday night. You can raise the bar a little. I dumbed it down for my 3-4 year olds.

Thanks Diane.
BTW, how far are you from Opelika? I have a (lost) friend who is possibly coming that way for a counselling course in March. -
Opelaka, Georgia or Opelika, Ala? We're 24 miles to the Ala. line just west of Atlanta. Opelaka, Ga. is right down near where I was a teen. That's about 3 hours from here. We're about 3 hours from Huntsville too.
Diane -
Opelika, AL - sorry. Still a little ways from you.
Thought it might be nice if he had someone close by to ring in case he needed some help or directions.
Almost interview time! -
Good morning all!
Went and had blood drawn this morning - so the doctors can tell if I've been a good boy for the last three or four months!
Diane - I'm praying for Jim and your family!
Sue - keep warm today - cause you never know how long this cold spell will last!
Roger - keep warm in jolly old Ireland!
Sheila, Calling Sheila - where are you - do we need to send the posse out and look for you?
Dan - trying to cover several bases - should have made each one a post! -
Warming up here Dan - should be up to 9°C today! But with the warmth comes wet, of course!
-
Sue - they shoot horses, don't they? -
Dr. Bob,
Does your wife have anything that would cure your ills?
Dan - thinking you could be the poster boy for her type of medical treatment! -
PS - If you shoot a horse - the animal cops on animal planet will come after you!
Dan - Can you run faster than they can? -
Someone shot & killed a black bear near me(& left it)...a huge reward is being offered for any info. "Too bad I didn't find it first!" bear roasts, bear steaks, bear sausage...
-
Never have eaten bear - but I would try it!
We do have a bear season in part of New York State! -
Bearly stand the thought of eating that. Can you spell trichinosis?
My wife IS working with me with a couple alternative treatments. Stopping much of the pain, but not stopping the disease.
But will keep trying. BTW, when I'm feeling a little DOWN (oops, another thread) there are some great lines in Seabiscuit about salvaging the life, etc. There is a lot of moral teaching in that movie and I hope it gets some recognition as more than just a "good film".
Back to work - they need my outline by noon for the multicultural/diversity lecture. Think the govt powers that be may be getting a little nervous about having a loose canon as the keynote speaker!!
And it's still 3 weeks away! -
Diane - I'm praying for Jim and your family!

Dan...Prayers got crossed. I had to turn down the job offer to-day....(smile)
Hello, remaining brisk here to-day and a little snow. I actually had to blow snow away from wife's clothes line. My line about walking on snow gets her closer to the line doesn't work anymore.
I am with Dr. Bob on natural cures, but I draw the line when some naturalists tell Diabetics they can eat honey because it is a "natural" sugar. These quacks should be shot! They give true naturalists a bad name.
Cheers,
Jim -
Dr. Bob said:
But seeing how I am a member of the conservative oppressed - I say - say anything you want to!
Dan - just trying to be an encouragement! -
Jim, Are you trying to tell us that the lovely Mrs. Jim freeze dries your clothing!
Dan - at -40ºC - just how long does that take!
PS - If the clothes were hung on the line - wrinkle free - it seems they just might freeze that way! -
Dan,,sometimes I have to hang the laundry, and they do get wrinkled each time I drop them...I thought the plan wold work, but she still has me hang them out at times..
Freeze-dried does sound good!
Cheers,
Jim -
Grew up in Minneapolis (high today is -25F) and remember mom hanging sheets and towels outside and they froze solid. I would help bring them in and hang them all over the house (we had a coal boiler-fed radiators that were either 1000F or off).
Smell triggers my mind. -
My Amish friends hang their laundry outside - year around.
The stuff always seems to get dry! Somehow!
Dan - Jan never wanted a clothes line! She's strictly a dryer girl!
PS - Mother used to use a clothes bar over the floor furnace! -
Dan - Here's my outline . . and it really doesn't tell anyone WHAT I am going to say on each part! Love it!
