My son, now 15 used to LOVE the Oregon trail, then this last semester, it was part of his history assignment! I am SO enjoying this online school that the kids are doing. I feel a bit guilty about going to the Lord with so much apprehension before hand. I was so scared! I pictured disorganization, bickering, boredom, apathy... instead it has been a treasure. The kids got almost all straight A's and the teachers are great, many of them strong Christians.
My very reserved 15 year old son was being lackadaisical with his Bible quizzing though, and then at the quiz meet on Saturday, he started coming to life. He ended up placing 2nd in the finals. I was so shocked and happy I almost cried.
Are any of you involved in Bible quizzing? I know they don't do cross denominational quizzing, although I think they should. My husband says that the only difference in the doctrines of Free Methodists and Baptist, is the stance on eternal salvation.
