Just on for a coupla minutes here. Have a wedding at 6:45 but it's way out on a ranch about 9 miles from town and the roads are yucky from snow and ice. Private ceremony.

Will stop by and see who's up later on.

Do you run an advert in the local newspaper to perform weddings? There are some ministers in this area who do that. They "rake" in between $1200.00 and $2000.00 a month.

Cheers,

Jim

We had a nice night at AWANA. A church member is www.crazytieguy.com and he and his wife did an evangelistic program for the kids. We took even my little ones. They had a great time. We shared valentines and little cakes.

I really didn't feel like going but once I got to moving around it was okay. Wish I could rest but the next two days I'll be working at the Corn Stove Store. I think I'll have some interesting news about that by the end of the week.

Hi y'all!

Just got home from a LONG day at church!! Worked there all day, went to a discipleship class tonight!!

My brother went home from the hospital today, so he's a happy camper! They changed his blood thinner medication and he is to sit around and take it easy for about a week. He will go back to the doctor after that, at which time the doctor will tell him what he can and can't do. So don't think he's entirely "home free" yet, but at least he's home!!

Thanks for all your prayers for him, my sil and me during this time! God continues to be faithful in answering prayer!

I could wish, Jim! :D

No, I do it as a service to the courts here. We have no Justice of the Peace, so the courts here use me (and a lawyer who was licensed to preach by my former church) to do a lot of ceremonies over the years. Do one a month at most.

Those are "civil" and just functionary. If folks want a "religious" ceremony, then we have counseling sessions, etc, just like any other pastor in town. Now THAT is part of our ministry and we really enjoy working with the diverse people involved.

70% of Casper residents have no church affiliation. I find that amazing.

Good Morning Roger and Sheila:

I slept in until 5:00 this morning! But, then, I was up until 11:00 or so last night.

It is 19ºF here this morning and windy. At least we are staying above zero now. The snow is off the streets, but the lawns are still about 4 inches deep with it still.

Gonna grab a cup of decaf.

Morning Yall,

Got a good nights rest after spending a fast & furious 2 days in Marietta. Learned much and slept little.

Went out to eat with Jim, Diane and Nick. 2 great things happened. First, I made some wonderful new friends. Secondly, We talked about many of you behind your backs.

I was worried that supper would be an uncomfortable scene, but I felt like I was with someone I had known for years. Jim is a great guy and we share a love for music. Diane is a genuine person and does not have a southern draw like many of you think.

I always miss being around the boys when we're away. Nick is the same age as Taylor and was glad he came with Jim and Diane. He has much energy as the wait staff can attest to.

Jim took me to Walgreens and I'm glad he was driving, because traffic was off the hook. I would have got lost for sure.

My meeting was good. I got to meet all the people I spend hours with on the phone during conference calls.

Good to be home.

-------but Blackbird noticed by examining the posted photos from Diane(under Blackbird's supermagnetic electron microscope he purchased from NASA surplus---I also have a telephoto telescope so powerful that it'll make those Mars' probes appear as if they're takin' pictures from the back seat!!!)---anyway---

---noticed that the tables at the resteraunt were "cleaned" of their plates and left over food!!!---what happened to all the food??? I thought you guys were at a resteraunt??? Resteraunt's serve food so that the patrons can have fun!! Can you give us a samplier of what the menu looked like----and does Nick eat like your boys and like mine----everybody else can be eating Steak and Potatoes---Dolan is havin' Hotdogs and French Fries!!

Your Southern Baptist preachin', resteraunt table cleanin' buddy,
Blackbird

You Guys are NUTS!

C.J.! So glad to hear your brother is home! We'll keep praying!

Sheila, sorry we missd you earlier. I'll be at work today and online all day to bug everyone.

Glad you slept, Sue. Like Roger said tho, stop sneezing on that monitor! I've gotten the cold too and I never get sick. (Do you think it might be because I'm back in with the little ones 2 times a week and have 17 rubbing their noses all over my shoulder's and me wiping noses for hours at a time? LOL)

Roger, hope your cold stays mild!

Gib, we REALLY enjoyed getting together. Nick LOVES the sharks tooth necklace and says he's never taking it off. He showed it off at swim yesterday. We felt the same way. Jim's already saying we have got to get that 'Southern BB.com get together planned'.

Ah. Blackbird. What to say?? Well, my leftovers got eaten while I chatted online with Sue and Gina last night! However, my camera is angry because I've dropped it 5 times and I knew we would only get a couple of chances for that digital photo. We'd already been visiting for about 2 1/2 hours when that shot was taken!!!

Well I need another cup of tea. I'll be heading to work in about 1 1/2 hours.

Blackbird,

Is there any food you do not like?

Dan - likes most food - it's just that certain foods no longer like me!
