MK...I trust him for some odd reason. I know he learned a lot of his "tricks" in Nam. But, he also knows if I catch him in my house without permission...well...Smith and Wesson will be visiting him!

Hi everybody!
We've got glorious sunshine and a bit of a cool breeze today.
As far as Easter dress, most of my clothes are still up in Maine. I looked at some dresses in a store the other day and was really disappointed. Seems like everything's really ugly this year. Oh, well, I don't need to be spending any money anyway! -
I really meant that no one posted late in the evening, and even through the night, as usual.
The sun didn't last long, but almost long enough for us to get our errands done. At least it's not raining yet!
Brent needed new dress shoes, so we went to PayLess. And he needed a haircut, so we stopped by the Barber Shop. We also had to make a flying run by Wal-mart and the grocery store.
We are schooling now, and then we will eat lunch, pick up my paycheck, go to the bank, pick up the papers and deliver them, and then do the school crossing.
Then I'm off work until April 4th! Woo Hoo! I still have to do the papers seven days a week, but I won't have to stand on the corner in the rain... -
Sooo . . . news/politics threads are getting a bit heated.
-
I didn't have Max this afternoon. Dad took the day off. They just dropped by to pay me. I have another pay check coming at about 5:15 and then little Jack's mom needed me for a one hour class tonight. He was SO sweet today. I'll keep him from 5:30 til 7:30. Guess I won't get my checks to the bank tho!
I need to head to Wal-Mart and get some Easter stuff too. -
Yeah, I am thinking I will get some little Easter goodies for my sister and some friends in the dormitories. . . gotta get out and do it, though.
-
Are the Banks and Post Office open tomorrow? I remember when even schools closed for Good Friday!
-
Our banks close at noon tomorrow and there is no school until April 4th.
There are still papers to be delivered though. :( -
I'm not really sure. I would think the PO would be open, as I don't think GF is a national holiday. But I wouldn't quote me. (I don't . . . )

There's been no school here since Friday week ago. They took that Friday as a teacher's work day and this whole week was spring break. We did OUR work, tho. The kids on the corner go to school in another county and they have off next week. Nick's so excited! He really likes them. They sleep late so he'll easily finish his work before they're ready to go outside to play.
It's still 68° here! Termites are swarming so Jim got a couple of afternoon emergency calls. -
68 here too, Diane. Just checked!
-
The plot changes around here very quickly this week! Ty's mom is bringing her check by tomorrow. She was in a wreck and is searching for a rental car. Also, Ty won't be here Monday. She's having to work Tues. thru Friday next week instead.
She asked about my mammogram and now I'm anxious again. Nick's out playing and Jim's still at work. Jack and his mom haven't arrived yet. Jon's leaving for his night job.... Better go grab my kitty and get her to purr and calm me down! -
Yep, get the kitty. And maybe some choclate too. :D
Well, your plot keeps changing, but at least you still have all the same characters and overarching theme . . . I can't say the same for the "round robin story" in the game forum. It really went nuts! -
I'm not much of a chocolate person. I put in 'The Snowman' for little Jack. There are no words but some lovely music and scenery. He is spellbound everytime I put it in and won't make a sound for 35 mins.!
Nick made little notes for me and has stuck them all over saying 'I will pray for you Mom'.
Luke 8:43 Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, 44 came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. 45 And Jesus said, "Who touched Me?" When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, "Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, 'Who touched Me?' " 46 But Jesus said, "Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me." 47 Now when the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling; and falling down before Him, she declared to Him in the presence of all the people the reason she had touched Him and how she was healed immediately. 48 And He said to her, "Daughter, be of good cheer; your faith has made you well. Go in peace." -
Does anyone know if CSI is a rerun tonight? I've got a little more ironing to do!
We're waiting supper for Jim. Jack is still here but should be leaving pretty soon. He's watching 'The Donut Man' and learning about Jesus. -

No CSI tonight! College basketball instead. It's 34 degrees in the Nawth. Keeps the 3" of new snow from melting. Snow in the forecast for Easter morning.
Diane, let Nick know we've got a post-it stuck on the monitor that says the same thing. -
Try the best of both worlds - kitten AND chocolate!
-

Well, the cat-haters are out in full force, on several threads, so I am going to take my kitty and go to bed!
Pleasant dreams all!
