The table is set this morning for Brother Barnabas J. Halo and Sister Lenke. Enjoy, and a happy Lord's Day to the two of you!

 

Aren't you sweet Bro. Ron! Thank you for the special treat. Would I know that you have breakfast for us, I would have skipped the Liberty (formerly French) Toast and Decaff.

Yes, we had a nice Lord's Day. Although a lot of people were out due to the flu. But some of the folks, who were formerly out (like myself), were now back from the dead. The flu got me real good this time, but thank God the prayers of the saints were stronger than the virus!

We learnedd a great news at church this morning. A young couple, who have a 13 year old daughhter, are now expecting a baby!!! This was a great surprise to them as well, for the lady did not know why she felt ill. She went to her doctor and learned that she is pregnant. I called them Abraham and Sarah... they are very happy, and we promised to keep them in prayer for a safe delivery 9 months from now.

 

It is weather here in Loo-Zanna! How can I sleep with all the birds cherping at my window feeder? The only time they come to the window feeder is when it rains. I guess that I will stay up and and watch them play!

I just placed a treat out there for them. It is a "nutty treat." It consist of peanut butter, peanuts, & bread. They go after that.

What's new?

I'll put a fresh pot on for "afternoon coffee..."

 

I will pray that God continues strengthening you, my Brother. I also will pray for this couple, 'Abraham and Sarah' (God knows their real names.)

May you be blessed this Lord's Day as you reflect on the Word that God has opened up to you.

P.S. Thanks goes to Pappy for that hot coffee. It is cold here in Mississippi. The flood waters are up close to my home, but not hitting the home yet. (about 6 feet away)

 

da Pappy just might have to head over to Mississippi to take a swim in standing's back yard, lol. Just kidding. I hope that it doesn't reach your house. Has it ever done that before?

Here's a couple pics of what it looks like outside. And more rain in forecast for today.

 

That is horrible. Is it raining where you are now? I would be so scared that it would make it in my house. When it rains, my whole backyard floods, but it never touches the house. I like it when it pours...I think that is nice, but I don't like it when it drizzles. It could be a little warmer, too!

When I lived in Manassas Virginia back in the 80's, I lived with my sister and her husband in a log cabin approximately 265 feet off of the banks of the Bull Run River. Every time it would rain, the water came clear up the back yard and into the basement of the house. Several times it came up to the top step leading down into the basement from inside.

In 1972, when hurricane Agnes hit Manassas, that same cabin was completely under water.

We are miles away from the Mississippi River, so I do not worry too much about floods until a police or rescue worker pulls up and orders an evacuation. This is how it looked after hurricane Rita, and the rains we have now causing it are not even a hurricane.

God is in the storm though, so I am not too concerned.

BH said she'd take one of those nutty treats...she's readin' over (actulay from) my shoulder. She loves peanutbutter!!

 

Linda and I are eating homemade fudge right now that we added peanut butter to.

 

I'LL take some of that. BH can't have the chocolate. I CAN though!!
