Snow is a novelty for me but if it was a chore it would soon be a bore.

Rained heavily tonight, we are on water restrictions in this Great Thirsty Land of Oz, so the weeds will grow a mile overnight. It is after 2400hrs and the fan is whirring, still very warm.

Godd night and best wishes to all

    Good morning. [IMG]
I had to make an outline, now I gotta go print it out and get some other work done.

We have to exercise in health/pe class today. IN THE RAIN, if it's raining, we were told to bring our umbrellas in case. I'll have you know, I'm gonna stamp my way in and make a LOT of noise putting down my backpack and taking out my umbrella! I may even mutter.

    PRAY FOR ME! [IMG]

I thought cruel and unusual punishment was illegal in this country.

    Have a good day.

    Doughnut delivery.....

1 box of cakes on the left
2 boxes of glazed beside them
3 boxes of assorted powdered and filled on right.

2 trays of Starbucks coffee in 16 carafe's to keep them hot during the day.

Enjoy, and God bless on this cold day.

Oh, and napkins can be found in between the two trays

And Gina? Bless them that persecute you, bless and curse not.

(Also glad I am not a goldfish!!)

    Hi everyone,

I have not posted in a few days because our family has been going thru a trial. We have just learned (a few days ago) that my father has leukenia. Please pray for us, and of course for him. We are all very sad, but trusting our Lord.

    Thanks,
    Gwen

Goooooooood afternoon folks! [IMG] Hope all is well with you.

Yesterday it was raining all day, combined with heavy winds. Around our church property we have many large trees. I just gathered together some of the fallen branches, some of them so big that we will have to cut it apart with a chain-saw. But our westerly neighbors were not as fortunate. One of their spruce tree was uprooted by the heavy wind. Thank God it did not fall on their house or on our parsonage (see the link for the picture). [IMG]

    Gwen,

I certainly will be in prayer for your father, and for you and the family as well.

Gwen, I will be praying for all of you.

Barnabas, I, too, am thankful the tree missed you.

Ron, Thanks for all the sweets. You did take all the calories out didn't you?

Brent is doing double school goals today because he is going to Wisconsin, with his mother, tomorrow morning and won't be back until Sunday night. I told him I might forget what he looked like being gone two week-ends in a row!

Barnabas, may God always protect His sanctuary as He did during these high winds and rains you mentioned!

Sue, cake dougnuts are the fewest calories. But if you will notice in box 3, the all of those glazed are bran. Bran is high fiber. According to weight watchers, the higher fiber and lower fat, the better for ya. Enjoy!

Will pray for a safe trip for Brent and his mother.

    Howdy ya'll!

I finally made it in after taking Precious to an almost forgotten arthritis clinic appointment. We so almost missed this appointment. I went to be early last night and T and Precious woke me up shutting things down about 11. Good thing they did too, cause her telling me goodnight made me think I was missing something. I laid there for about 10 minutes wondering what is was before I remembered the appointment. My brain is not what it used to be.  :( I was up early this morning getting someone to stay with Son(who still has a migraine) and take Bitsy to school. PTL for good friends!

This was a good appointment for the most part. The diagnosis is still unclear but they are still calling it arthritis. The docs made her happy by telling her that it was okay to run track, not so happy when they told her still no contact in karate(and no board breaking either) for a few more months. They would like for this to just not flare up again and don't want her doing anything to give it a reason to flare up. They took x-rays of her hands to see if they are being affected, since she has had some swelling in them. If those come back clear, then we won't have to be seen again for a year unless the neck stuff starts again. This may be almost over!

Time to go again, Bitsy has gymnastics this pm. Be back much later!

How could you know for sure, MK? :D I say to madre, "I don't remember being such a mushhead" and all she does is look at me over her glasses and says nothing. So I'm not sure whether the mushhead thing is new or I just don't remember.

    Evening folks,

I'm running a fever and not feeling well so I am going to watch TV in bed.

Brent has had his shower and is all packed for his week-end in Wisconsin.

I'll 'see' you in the morning.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Padre, I'm SURE I distinctly remember knowing everything! :D [IMG]

Sue, I hope you feel better by morning.

I'm headed off to slumberland myself.

    Ya'll have a nice evening!

Glad it missed Barnabas! I like the stonework down the sidewalk.
Are you in a different church now, or just a different building than the historic one you used to meet in?

Gwen, it sounds like this really is a trying time for your family. Do keep us updated, ok?

Sue, you gotta knock off this getting sick stuff. We're gonna have to start emailing you chicken soup! I wonder if it's virtually the same thing as actually sending it. [IMG] Maybe when warmer weather kicks in you'll get a break. [IMG]

    Ron, got any glazed croissants?

MK, I had one in gymnastics before. I was relieved when I truly had no more money for classes, because they worked on professional equipment and I would just wince and clench my teeth when the child got on the parallel bars. LOL But I let them play soccer and was fine with that. I have NO measurable consistancy to my logic!

Padre, "mushhead" made me think of a bowl full of mush, thus Goodnight Moon. The girls have it in Spanish from the library, for whatever reason, and made me read it to them and then translate it the other night. It had been years since I've read it to them (in ENGLISH), but I stumbled through.

    Good morning Briony,

I have been up since 2:00 so thought I'd drop by and see if anyone else was up and about.

My daughter, Shawna, had cancer when she was 15. I cried when she lost all of her hair. It is a shock and it distresses us because it is not natural.

We got her a wig, and eventually, her hair grew back even more beautiful than before.

I might as well put the coffee and tea on.

BH must be sleeping, I don't see her anyplace.

We are supposed to have rain all day and snow tonight! Weird weather for winter...

I am praying for traveling mercies for Shawna and Brent as they leave for Wisconsin this morning.

Snowstorms and blizzards can materialize in minutes in Wisconsin. I know, I got caught in one the last time I made the trip!

I will probably lay back down for a while after Brent leaves at 8:00. I am SO tired...

    Morning all:

Sue, will be praying for Brent and Shawna as they travel. Hope you get to feeling better.

Barnabas, I'm glad it missed the church! Woah! That would have been a mess if it hadn't!

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately. We have been very busy with various things. With our pastor resigning, we're not sure what is going to happen. We lost two other members Sunday morning who were visited by the pastor and the deacon that had caused the split earlier in the week. The associate will be our pastor for now, but, we have a meeting tonight to see whether we need to be continuing as a new church or let ourselves be absorbed into another that doesn't have a childrens ministry. If we lose many more adult members, or they aren't faithful we might as well disband or be absorbed. The attacks from the deacon of the church we split off from is really attacking us right now, but he seems to be the only one, or at least the ringleader. It's a mess.

We went to bed at almost 1am, and I've been up since 4am. Viv's in bed and I'm going to let her sleep.

It's supposed to reach 70 here today. It was nearly 70 yesterday. Rain will be here sometime this weekend. It's 48 now.

Yes Gina, the Lord was gracious to our Congregation and after 28 years of wondering in the wilderness, He gave us a building of our own. It's a long story, but just briefly, there was a congregation in Chappaqua, NY (where the former President Clinton lives), who were praying that the Lord lead more people to their midst (they were only 23 people including the pastor, who contemplated retirement, and his wife). Our Congregation was praying for a building, for we could not afford to buy one in the greater Westchester area where a larger lot could cost millions of dollars. The Lord has a great sense of humor, for He answered both groups miraculously and since last March we are merged. Only God could arrange something like this. Here is the church, during the last snow storm:

Bro. Tony, I am sorry about your church situation. You folks are in our prayers, that the Lord intervene and straighten out the situation there.

Hope you are doing better Sue, and the temperature went down. You need your energies my dear, for who will host this wonderful place we call Common Ground Coffee House?!

My wife and I will be out for most of the day. We'll go down to New York City in the morning and later attend a wedding of a former college of mine. Check with you folks later, but be sure you all have a blessed day! [IMG]
