One of my teens brought this to my attention, as they got the book for a graduation gift. The book, Conversations With God, is in my opinion, appalling. While I'm sure it's been discussed before here at the BB, I thought I'd bring it up in light of the movie coming out in October. What does everyone think?

This is the first I have heard of either the book or the movie. It is along the lines of the Davinci code...false...but still only fiction. At least now we will have more books to read "debunking" this movie in the fall :D Maybe I'll write one.

I've never heard of it, is there a link?

Many people around the country meet in small study groups using this book and other books by Walsh as their spiritual guide. I have received numerous emails from many fans of this book, and from Christians who know people who say their lives have been changed by this book. Believe me, people really believe these are the words of God. IMO, this is an extremely dangerous book and has impacted people.
I read this book several years ago and wrote a critique of it. I also read and wrote on his book, Friendship with God (he as series of books like this). Both were published.
What is even worse, is that Walsch came out with Conversations with God for Teens not long ago. I have 2 articles on this (one published) - one for teens and one for adults. Here are the links:

BTW, Walsch has a website for teens and has had camps for teens where he teaches his New Age spirituality. -
Anytime people are taking something like this seriously and believing it then it's problem christians need to address. Thanks Marcia.
