How in the world do you ask a question, that you are not expecting an answer to on a forum? In a normal conversation, I suppose I would have followed it up with a 'I am not expecting an answer, but don't you ever wonder why things like this are happening?'
Is a nonsensical statement/question. Police officers DO live in the areas they work in. I DON'T wonder why these things are happening because they're not.
If you are building a case for police enforced martial law based partly on the premise that police officers would have no problem getting aggressive with the local citizenry because they don't live amongst them, you are mistaken.
I live in a neighborhood of about 1200 homes. There are a number of law enforcement that live in here, they all drive their cars home. I can't think of a single on of them that is vehicle from this county.
When I go to the next county over, I see a bunch of cars at homes, and most of them are from other counties.
These are facts, but I can't say that none of them live in the counties/cities.
Oh for heaven's sake--a police officer that lives in another county isn't from "the area"? I guess we have differing definitions of what "area" means. I don't think that an officer from my nearest county is going to think to himself, "I can inflict pain on this person because he's from Hennepin County and I'm from Dakota County. He's not truly one of us."
It wasn't hard for Germamany and it would notbe hard for this nation either. People today would fall in line like ducks in a row with only a few resisting.
Huh? I don't even...Sapper's right, this thread is horrible.
You go ahead and prepare yourself for the Army or the Police rounding you up and enslaving you.
I'm going to go home play with my kids and maybe have a glass of wine tonight while enjoying this beautiful fall day.
What is the great moral corruption you speak of? Are you one of those people that believe America was founded by Christians? Do you think sexual promiscuity is a new thing in America? Do you think that homosexuality is far more rampant today than it was 100 years ago?
