As each day passes, and the oil continues to spill out, with no success in capping it in sight, I can't help but grow more suspicious as to the idea that there may be something more devious behind the oil rig explosion than "natural causes."
One concern is why the Obama administration is being so aloof when it should be more hands on in supervising this disaster. If BP can't cap the source, why can't our military ??? And, with all the time BP has spent down there working on the oil leak source, is it to really cap off the leak, or to cover up what really happened ???
Finally, when other countries have disasters, we offer our help and resources. I keep hearing that the U.S. is the only country that doesn't have a deep ocean vessel, so, why doesn't BP, or, Obama reach out and request one of those five countries who have this vessel, to send us one to help end this oil leak ??? It seems, without this vessel, we are operating in the dark.
While everyone is focused on capping the leak and stopping the oil from reaching land, no one is talking about what really could've been behind the explosion, and, I can't help but wonder how many oil rigs have exploded to the extent of the one in the Gulf ???
There are, I don't know for sure, probably thousands of deep sea oil rigs around the world, and if anyone knows of such an event, like this one happening, I'd like to hear from you.
Case in point, when the South Korean naval vessel was sunk it was first believed to be something that took place aboard the ship itself. Now, it is for sure that a North Korean torpedo took out the ship.
Should there not be a government "look see" into this explosion to find out what really happened ???
There is just too much going on with the attempt to cap the leak and cleanup the oil spill, that the explosion itself is getting very little attention, and any evidence of something other than man made causes is slipping away from us, and will never be found. So, what is BP, and the Obama administration trying to hide from the American people ???
What happened to perpetuate this disaster is just as important as the capping of the leak and the clean up, because, other rigs could be at risk.
Of course, the full ecological impact of this tragedy will be far reaching, and just as destructive to fish and game, the eco-system, wildlife, employment, and those who live along the effected areas, for years to come. It is beginning to look like this one oil rig explosion will be as destructive as a dirty bomb being dropped in a metropolitan area of this nation. :tonofbricks:
Each day that the oil bubbles up to the suface, more questions bubble up too! Just what is going on... America needs to know, and those who are being directly affected by the oil flowing into the Gulf, really need answers, not empty promises and failed attempts to stop the oil, and clean up the mess that is ruining the entire Gulf region.
In truth, I simply wanted to see if anyone else on the board has had the same concerns and questions as myself.

Could The Oil Rig Explosion be Terrorism ???

Pastor Paul,
That thought has crossed my mind several times. If you think about it, it is an easy target, and can be quite devestating in several areas: economic, environmental, wasted time in the courts, etc. The death toll does not have to be astronomical to have a profound effect on this country. This has not begun to play out. It is kind of sad. I grew up in Gulfport, MS, and have very fond memories of the pristine white beaches, and clear, bluish water. That is about to change. -
BTW, you do know that BP stands for "BRITISH Petroleum" don't you?
Do you really think the President of the United States collaborated with a British corporation to cover up a terrorist attack in the Gulf of Mexico? -
The British did it as a payback for the Revolution!

It's pretty clear from the reports that this terrible accident was the result of a huge methane pocket emerging during a critical transfer point in the drilling cycle. Sadly it seems that coupled with the substandard blow out preventers we had a cataclysmic event.
Terrorist can barely drive a car down the road. How in the world do you think they could dive down, over a mile into water, and mess this up? This was a tradgic accident not some way to satisfy some conspiracy theory foolishness. -

#1 The Obama administration cannot find its rear end using both of their hands and are at this moment creating a disaster to this nation that dwarfs BP's!!!!
#2 There are thousands of off shore rigs just off the coast of Louisiana alone----not counting the uncountable thousands of rigs off the coast of Texas!!
#3 How can the government "look see" when they are blind as Bats???? Its easier for the government to spy on righteousdude2 than on anyone else on this board!!!
#4 We ARE concerned!!! -
