Cuba bars ministry from distributing NIV Bibles -
Interesting. I know they've been getting a healthy dose of McGee's Thru the Bible (translated into Spanish) since like the 1960s.
Cover Cuba with the Gospel -
But which RV are the Communists allowing? Surely not the apostate RV 1960? (Actually, it is.)

I have an uncle who earns a living as a professional gambler. He tells the story of going to Havana to gamble and winning a great deal, only to discover that he was not permitted to leave the country with the cash he had won. He had to spend it on the local economy.
Is it possible that the objection is related to the RV being printed in Cuba and the forbidden NIV in Spanish being imported? (A flow of currency out of the Communist economy.) -
The Bibles are being distributed free (not only by Biblica but also by others; the SBC sent more than 80,000). I doubt there's a publishing company in Cuba that could (or would) publish hundreds of thousands of Bibles, no matter what version.
The shipment was turned away in 2016 and Biblica hopes to get things sorted out:
