    Far right = no government

    Far left = all government

Both are equally as dangerous and not dangerous depending on your personal views. One good thing about our government is that leadership changes. This means we don't maintain any particular form of government very long.

I believe I am more of a centrist. My ideal government would be flat taxes and a line item veto so we can hold our elected officials accountable for each line they approve. I would like to see just enough regulation to keep CEO's from crashing the markets and bankers from robbing us blind. I would also like to see government contracts spread around so the good ole boys don't get all the lucrative deals because they are buddies or contribute to certain campaigns.

I would like to see much stiffer penalties for dirty politicians and company executives. They hurt far more people than a crack head with a crack pipe yet they spend far less time behind very lavish bars.
