It is political. Dems made it political because Trump and warp speed. As soon as Joe went in, Dems viewed the vax as power. The Fed govt dangled a carrot and threatened a stick to businesses to get "voluntary" compliance.
We need to return to a Pre 1862 govt. The Fed govt needs to be weak and the States strong.
Both sides made it political.

Trump and the Republicans accused the Democrats of rejecting the vaccines because it was developed by the Trump administration and the Democrats said COVID was just the flu and criticized Trump for shutdowns.

Then after the election the Dems changed positions, the Republican cans blamed Biden for not adequately getting vaccines out there, the Dems blamed Trump for not getting vaccines quick enough.

But anything can be made political. I do not care about politics when it comes to my health care....or anything else.

Personally I think I'd be fine with or without a vaccine. The elderly may be another issue, but I ain't there yet.

Your conduct, long ago, established you to me as an adversary. I have many more adversaries here than I have allies. As a matter of fact, most of my allies no longer participate on this forum.

Personally, I don't care what you call yourself.

The Democrats made it political. Trump just tried to produce a vaccine. Democrats started the political crap.

I disagree. Trump declaring he gave us an effective vaccine, stating it would have been impossible without him, that everybody needed to be vaccinated, etc....that was for political gain.

When Trump criticized people for minimalizing COVID, for referring to it as a child or the flu...that was for political gain.

It does not matter who was right or wrong. Both political parties used COVID and vaccines in the hope of gaining political capital. Otherwise Trump would not have taken credit for the vaccines.

That is the problem with politics. Everything is political with politicians.

Trump was not being political. He was just being him. Never misses a chance to tell you how great he is.

That is true, but it was still political.
It was no more political than any action a politician takes. Trump had a goal. He handled that goal the way he would have handled it in the business world. The Dems made it political. All he did was fast track a vax. Democrats saw the political fall out of him being successful and then tried to sabotage him and the vax for their own political reasons.
IMO, Covid was a coordinated attack on the free markets by China and the Democrats. Covid was political. Trump's response to it was not.

I don't agree with Trump's response, but it was not political. We should have gone on business as usual, hit herd immunity, and been done with it. Less people would have died.
