I usually see the first few minutes b/c Extreme Makeover has just gone off. But I don't watch it. Too trashy.
-
I do not watch DH. I agree with Songbird.
-
I don't watch the show because the title alone didn't sit well with me.
But there are three married couples in my church who watch it regularly and say it's a pretty good show. So I'm open to the idea that I might have initlally judged the show too harshly. However, it's just not the kind of show I'm interested in.
I must admit to watching Boston Legal, which has a few racy moments. But watching Shatner in that role is quite entertaining. -
Do you?
-
My family and I watch Boston Legal too.

I don't watch it, but I was over at someone's house after church one Sunday night and they had it on. So, I watched it. I laught at it--thought it was hilarious. But, I haven't watched it since.

Pretty crude, tasteless and filthy. I have way too many better things to do than watch that kind of tripe.
Hey, you asked! -
Kudos Dr Bob. I totally agree (ITA)

Good job Dr Bob!!!
Not enough Christians are calling the networks and complaining... unfortunatly we are watching the trash, so the networks keep "pushing the envelope,"... now they released Sex in the City and SouthPark... both TRASH!
I told my wife... just give it less than 10 years... just about the time my 2 yr. old daughter is 12 or 13... there will be porn on regular TV! :(
We need to take a stand Christians.... call the networks and demand that this trash be taken off... don't watch what you know is trash.... and don't allow your family to, either!
Romans 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. -
Amen, KJV4JJ! I agree! That's why all I watch is HGTV. And sometimes FOX News. I tried to watch Desparate Housewives one night with my husband because some of my friends said it was funny.  Haven't watched it since.

If one doesn't like a show, there are multiple solutions.
1. Use the channel selector to choose a different program.
2. Use the off switch to turn off the set.
3. Go read a book, play a game, or any other activity of one's choice. -
I've watched it a few times and I thought it was pretty funny.
-
Decreasing viewership is more effective. Just my thoughts. -
Dr. Bob, I concur, actually I don't like any reality shows-too trashy and the rancor is disgusting.
-
Actually, Johnv, they take complaints more seriously, as they know that you mean business when you tell them that you will be watching every commercial during that program, and writing down all the companies that sponsor that hour of trash. Then you start to bombard the sponsors with letters, faxes, mail, and e-mail... telling them that they need to start putting their money behind programs that support the same values as the people that buy their products.
-
remember, if we allow the trash to continue, by just turning our heads... then it will get worse... and we will not be able to protect our children from it.
James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. -
Feel free to do that if you like, KJV4JJ. I support your right to do so. But kindly refrain from accusing those who don't do likewise as just "turning our heads" or violating scripture.
-
Bro' Johnv, I appologize if I came off sounding like that. I had no intention of offending you in the least. please accept my appologies. I was merely pointing out the fact that not enough Christians today are proactive when it comes to defending our children, and standing for the rights we (for the time being) hold in this country.
Again, I meant no insult... sorry bro. -
No offense taken. I do agree with you that proactivity seems to be a trait lacking in regards to our children. I can tell you with fair certaity that proactivity is not only noble, but work well. At least it does in my house, and my children are growing up to be fine kids.
