There is no "they were not truly seeking God," because some of them found God. All these scripture does not mean what it says shows a willingness to deny God's word.

The text tells me what it tells me. It doesn't tell me what you are claiming. I trust God over you. -
Calvinism - nobody ever at any time seeks God
Jesus many seek the narrow gate. -
If you believe Jesus, and that many seek the narrow path, you cannot believe no one ever at any time seeks God. The "T" of Calvinism is unbiblical nonsense. -

Romans 3:10-18
As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” “Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.” -
Vanism - only those who are in sin do not seek.
God:
As it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” “Their throat is an open grave; they use their tongues to deceive.” “The venom of asps is under their lips.” “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.” “Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery, and the way of peace they have not known.” “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

The many who seek the narrow gate would include those drawn by greed rather than love. -
