My answer was addressing just the issue of accommodation!

It all falls under the doctrine of Impassibility. God doesn't change. Remember the hymn "Great Is Thy Faithfulness"? There is no shadow of turning with Him.

Do you think God is eternally grieving or angry, or anything like that? No. He expresses Himself in Scripture in language we can understand. He condescends to our level. That's what accommodation is.

Improper predication is when we, in error, think that anthropopathic language describes God. It doesn't. Anthropopathic refers to the figurative use of human emotions and passions to describe God. (e.g. God suffering, grieving, repenting, regretting, being frustrated, etc.) But Can God truly be sorry when He is perfect and thrice Holy? Of course not. These are just metaphors to help us understand. It's for our benefit that He has bent down and did some baby talk for us.

Which is exactly the argument Genesis compromisers are making to deny the first book of the Bible. Do you also do this with Genesis?

And if Scripture says God grieves, why won't you believe it? If God is using accommodating language, why don't you need it? Why would God use anthropopathic language only for you to later come along and say He really didn't need to speak in that way as I am smart enough to understand what God really means?

The whole notion of this is dangerous and leads to all kinds of interpretative license. It's man refusing to admit that some things God reveals are above him.

I have also seen it gone to extreme view, and get to Genesis is all religious Myth, that miracles and history were just almost like spiritual fables, and that Jesus did not really hold to creationism nor demons, but just gave the people what they expected!

That's the slippery slope of this kind of thinking. Also, it's just plain lazy.
